Artist Opportunity

We are the ‘Asking for it’ exhibition. Our aim is to create a place for people to share and feel and come together over adversity. Through expression of art - in a variety of mediums such as film, photography, poetry, art and sound - the exhibition will take the viewer on a journey from the beginning to recovery and survival. Titled ‘Asking for it’ the exhibition not only looks at the experiences of the survivor but the societal judgements and miseducation around the topic of sexual abuse/violence.

Call For Entries: The Inner Room

Work by the selected Artist will be exhibited 10/17 through 11/16, 2019. GearBox Gallery will provide a postcard featuring the installation, and will promote the exhibit along with our already scheduled show. A reception for the exhibit will be hosted concurrent with the reception for the featured exhibit that month.

The Artist will be selected from images & a written proposal submitted online, and will be juried by the Gearbox Inner Room Selection Committee. There is no theme. Selection will be based on the quality of the artwork, with special emphasis on how it relates to, enhances, transforms, or makes innovative use of the space.

CALL FOR INTERNATIONAL ART: LONDON GROUP EXHIBITION

Warbling invites international submissions of contemporary art for a curated group pop-up exhibition to be held in East Dulwich, London from the 22nd of August to the 2nd of September 2019.

The exhibition will be titled ‘Of course, I haven’t forgotten!’, it’s completely up to each artist submitting to come to their own conclusions on how the title might relate or sit nicely alongside their practice. It’s interesting to read different ideas and interpretations of our titles in the submissions form, however it is not obligatory to do so and often if a work stands out, it can be related in some way to the other works being considered within the exhibition as a whole.
