Media accepted: photography (black and white only)
No fees. Open to international artists.
Deadline to apply is May 2nd, 2021.
The selected artists will be informed by end of May, 2020. Only selected artists will be asked to send their images.

Constellations Intermediterranean Gazes

From the Roman limes to today’s globalized world, borders may simultaneously play the role of bridge and barrier. Wanderings, nomadisms, pilgrimages, invasions, exiles, and colonization have turned the history of mankind into a history of migrations. Nowadays, the migration phenomena continue its course in its most tragic version. According to the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the year 2019 ended with more than 1,200 migrants dying in the Mediterranean Sea and 110,000 arrivals to Europe, which is the sixth consecutive year of massive arrivals.

FOTOLIMO 2021 open call

FotoLimo (landlimo means border in Esperanto) is a cross-border festival of photography and visual arts whose main driving force is the concept of borders, understood in its broadest sense. With a background of five consecutive editions, the objective of the festival continues to be to promote artistic creation, education, and research around the multiple manifestations of the border, approached from fields as diverse as migration, gender, body, social fractures or landscape, always from a creative and transformative perspective. In this context, FotoLimo presents itself with the particularity of being the only European-wide cross-border photography and visual arts festival to be held simultaneously at both sides of the French-Catalan border.

Animals and Wildlife

Wheeler Creek is now accepting photo submissions for possible inclusion in an upcoming publication. The theme is Animals and Wildlife. The book is set for a Fall 2021 release. This is an opportunity for photographers of any level of experience or expertise to be published in a high quality coffee table-style fine art photography book.

No Master or direct copies accepted. No photography will be accepted in which the main concept is not your original photograph.  Please create something new and exciting!
