Guest Room: Nadine Henrich & William Camargo

Guest Room aims to spark collaboration. Nadine Isabelle Henrich, Curator of the House of Photography at the Deichtorhallen in Hamburg, has decided to team up with photo-based artist and founder of Latinx Diaspora Archives, William Camargo. Together, they have developed the following framework for your submissions: “Poetics of Counter-Archives”.

VAA International Exhibition & Scholarship Prize Extension

Due to popular demand the prize has been extended for a second phase of application. The Visual Artists Association has introduced an exhibition and scholarship fund of £20,000. Created to support early career artists to develop their arts businesses, The VAA International Exhibition & Scholarship Prize, launched in Summer 2022, aims to benefit emerging and re-emerging artists. This will be achieved by increasing artists’ international exposure, whilst raising funds for VAA artist education programmes.

Guest Room aims to spark collaboration. Damarice Amao, associate curator for photography at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, has decided to team up with photography historian and curator Matthias Pfaller. Together, they have developed the following framework for your submissions: “Empathy”.

"We are looking for work that explores current politics and poetics of relation, among and across different communities, species, and the environment."

Künstlerstadt Kalbe, an innovative project in the Altmark region (Saxony-Anhalt) with the goal of countering demographic change through art and culture, is awarding scholarships for a working residency for the 9th time.

In accordance with the concept of a social plastic referring to Joseph Beuys, Künstlerstadt Kalbe sees itself as a place where the creative power of art is to be unleashed in order to build a free, sustainable and liveable society.

OPEN CALL: HAP Hessisches Atelierprogramm

The HAP Studio Programme in Frankfurt supports outstanding young artists in Hesse for a period of four years by providing a total of twelve studios free of charge at basis e.V. The grant is awarded in two years to eight or four scholarship holders. The postgraduate programme also offers professional support and networking through a specially designed mentoring programme. In addition, all facilities of basis can be used, such as the basis project room for self-organized exhibitions and events. Sponsored stays abroad, for example by AIR or HAP IEPA, can also be taken up to a total of 12 months during the programme. At the end of each funding period, a group exhibition with accompanying publication is held. Four spots are available for the class of 2023-2027.
