Untitled: The exhibition where your audience names your work

SYNOPSIS: artlessBastard is calling for 2D & 3D works of art, in all mediums – excluding performance art or film – for the Sept. 2019 ‘Untitled’ large group exhibition. All work traditional or contemporary will be considered. For this special audience participation show, all works will be displayed ‘Untitled’ and each guest in our gallery will be asked to help name the individual works. (This show theme was suggested by a gallery customer and we loved the interactive concept!) What better way to survey viewers & find out what your piece evokes in them? Deadline to apply is August 1, 2019.

Art & Beyond accepting application to be published in the Summer Print Edition Magazine 2019

Art & Beyond is promotional service for artists and intended to be distributed to galleries, museums and art consultants, and in addition presented at the International Art Fairs during the Summer. Art & Beyond reached 112,700+ readers and the number growing daily.

In the Entry Fee for Full Page insertion included Cover Competition for all 4 covers in the magazine (award equal to $1,200.00 cash).

Royal Society of Marine Artists

The RSMA seeks submissions of art inspired by the sea and marine environment

Artists are invited to submit works for exhibition alongside members of the Royal Society of Marine Artists (RSMA) at their Annual Exhibition 2019.

Any artist over 18 may submit.

Subject matter must be essentially marine in nature, relating in some way to tidal waters of the world; topographical, historical, still life, and figure painting are all welcomed. Works relating to non-tidal rivers, inland lakes and waterways etc are not permissible. 

Acceptable media: Oil, acrylic, watercolour, original prints of any media, mixed media, drawings, pastels, or sculpture.

Old Town Keller Rotating Sculpture Program

The Keller Public Arts Board is seeking six sculptures that are appropriate for public viewing and support the family friendly atmosphere of the City of Keller. Sculptures are owned by the artist and are loaned to the exhibit for a two-year period. All sculptures must be “family appropriate” and pose no risk to public safety; no sexual, bloody or violent content shall be accepted. Sculptures must be made of materials that can withstand the harsh Texas weather and require no maintenance by the City of Keller. Pieces that are sold while on display may be removed but the artist must replace the sold artwork with a different sculpture, with approval by the Board, within 60 days. This call is open to Texas artists only.

DCAD showing ‘forged fashion’ of sculptor, blacksmith Ellen Durkan

Delicate yet dangerous and evoking both strength and vulnerability, the wearable metalwork of two-time state arts fellowship recipient Ellen Durkan is creating a striking presence in Delaware College of Art and Design’s Toni & Stuart B. Young Gallery.

“Ellen Durkan: Behind Her Iron Gates” opens at DCAD with an Art Loop Wilmington reception featuring live models from 5 to 8 p.m. February 1. Complementing the “forged fashion” pieces are graphite and charcoal drawings in a range of sizes.

The Bower Sculpture Park and Gardens Request for Qualifications

Bridgette Mayer Art Advisors in collaboration with The Executive Committee of The Bower is seeking to commission professional artists/sculptors and or artist teams to design, oversee fabrication and install permanent site-specific sculptures or permanent land art installations as part of the launch of its Phase I Sculpture Park and Gardens.

The location is a private property that will be turned into a public sculpture park and gardens. The owners are developing “The Bower: Sculpture Park and Gardens”, a rural setting, garden and sculpture park located on their 36-acre wooded and meadow site along the northern slope of the Appalachian Mountains in Perry County, Pennsylvania.
