We are looking for your travel photographs, near and far, to the edge of the earth and to the places perhaps known only to you. Whether you're hauling around a view camera and a tripod or just pulling a mobile phone out of your back pocket, we want to see what you've captured and how you're telling your story.

There's a world out there to explore. Open your eyes to its landscapes, people, cultures - on your doorstep or 10,000 miles away. Expand our horizons!

Adventure Travel Photography Contest

Win Prizes and Be Featured at the OCRV & Van Lifestyle Show! Artists may enter up to three photographs for consideration. Prizes awarded in each category: Landscape – Wildlife – Culture.

Contest Details: All artwork will be displayed on digital monitors, premiering at Ocean City’s very first OCRV & Van Lifestyle Show on October 12-15, 2023. Award winners will be invited to show their photos in-person at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center and will receive free tickets to the event. Hippospit blog

Hippospit is a travel blog, created by a creative person who has been on the road for two years.

Currently, hippospit is accepting submissions from artists, writers, and other creatives who have something to say about the places they’ve been.

To be considered for publication, please send a jpeg, google doc, or pdf of your completed piece. The more artistic, unique, and insightful, the better. I don’t care where you’ve been - you can submit a comic about a night you spent in a Motel 6 while driving across Iowa to visit your aunt - so long as it’s unique and well-executed.

Also, you must have a PayPal account to be compensated for your work. Hippospit pays between $15-35 per accepted submission, depending on the complexity of the work.

Ideal Destinations Exhibition

‘People don’t take trips, trips take people’ - John Steinbeck

With this travel themed exhibition in mind, we want to see where you’ve explored, what you’ve fallen in love with and how many hidden corners you’ve stumbled across this summer, or during your recent travels.

We’d also love to see where you can’t wait to return to next year!

Please note - the acceptance fee may increase if your chosen artwork is over 50cm or 20inch in length. (Please enquire about large submissions prior to submitting.)

Sales: Work will be for sale and this venue takes 25% commission from any sale
