J. Mane Gallery invites submissions for its H2O online juried art exhibition.

Water is one of the most important elements for sustaining human life.  We live on a water planet.  It surrounds us, and we cannot live without it.

For this competition artists are encouraged to share their artistic vision and interpretation of water; the sea, the lake, a stream, the rain. The artwork can vary from realism to surrealism to abstraction. All artists over the age of 18, regardless of location or experience, are encouraged to submit their best inspired art and photography.

Call for Art - Made in California 38th Juried Exhibition

Entry Deadline: February 16th, 2023

Artists! Submit your work for our annual juried exhibition, Made in California.

Open to all living artists ages 18 and up residing in California. All entries must be original, completed in the past three years, and not previously shown at the Brea Gallery. All mediums are welcome! Over $2,500 in prizes are awarded annually and there is a unique opportunity to win a solo exhibition. Single entries are just $20, while solo show submissions are only $80 for a body of work (5 – 10 pieces).

Looking for Creatives w/ Out-of-the-Box Ideas | Virtual Spring Creativity Summit

This Spring, diopsydity [Die-Ahp-Sydity] will be hosting a virtual summit with the focus of gathering all types of creatives. Whether the medium they work in be visual, traditional, digital or literary -- it is a gathering for collective inspiration. Most importantly, gaining inspiration and enhancing creative ideas through the exploration of nontraditional techniques and prompts. Viewers will be able to challenge themselves and step out of creative comfort zones.

diopsydity is looking for creatives that love to genre/medium bend. Those who use unique techniques/tools in their creative/brainstorm process that they feel has yet to be realized by others. Something they feel could inspire and challenge creatives to try out.

Passion to Perform

Artists are welcome to submit paintings, drawings, sculptures and photography as entries to Passion to Perform. Prizes will be awarded in $USD based on a jury selection of: $7,000 for first prize, $2,500 for second prize and $1,500 for third prize. In addition, a fund has been established to acquire artworks from the shortlist of finalists, which will then become part of the permanent collection of Yamana Gold.

MERCY HOUSING MAJOR JENKINS APTS ART PROJECT

Project Overview

Architreasures, an arts-based community development organization, along with our partner Mercy Housing, a comprehensive affordable housing provider, is seeking an artist(s) to develop interior artwork for the Major Jenkins Apartments, a supportive housing residence for individuals who have experienced or are at risk for homelessness. The Major Jenkins Apartments is located in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood at 5012 N. Winthrop.

The overall goals of the Major Jenkins Art Project are to:

Create visually compelling and uplifting artwork that enlivens two common areas as part of the building’s renovation.

Post-Rustbelt: Living Between America

Post-Rustbelt: Living Between America seeks to capture the artistic experience of life in "Middle America" during the decades following the decline of industry (mid 1970's) to the turn of the Millennium. These rustbelt states are most often thought to include New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. 

We are seeking artwork representative of, but not limited to: industry decline, the disappeance of main street (and subsequent rise of hyper consumerism), general life (artistic, social, work, family, otherwise) caught between changes (i.e. holding onto a past way of life while searching for new identity), and/or juxtaposition of old and new.
