Climate change is happening right before our eyes and there is limited time to reverse the effects the industrial world has had on our planet. Artists are in a position to use their unique voices to educate an audience about these issues. Wolf's Milk Gallery is looking for works that explore the themes of environmental protection and our impact as humans on nature for our inaugural online group show. Types of work accepted are: painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, installation, performance and time-based works about the environment.

Artists will be shown in our new online gallery space as well as be featured on our ever growing instagram.

Deadline: 4/20/24

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE AT GREEN & AWAY

Green & Away offers an artist residency for the duration of its summer season. This placement provides an opportunity for an emerging artist to develop and demonstrate their art at a leading environmental venue. The successful candidate will have a lot of independence over the course of their residency, and the organisation is open to your ideas for what you want to create on the site. You will, however, be encouraged to contribute an interesting piece of environmental, ecological, or land art, working with natural or recycled materials, which will be either permanent or present for the duration of the season and which will add to the atmosphere of the site.

Solitary Retreat in the Nevada Desert

Montello Foundation is a foundation dedicated to support artists who foster our understanding of nature, its fragility and our need to protect it.

The Montello Foundation provides a solitary retreat where artists can experience the vastness of a desert landscape from a safe building, a “base camp,” a unique space for inspiration and creation, a place that provides a shield from distractions in the solitude of the desert. The retreat is the first Quiet Artist Retreat certified by Quiet Parks International.

Environmental Listening with Drew Mcdowall, Kathy Hinde And Matthew Olden

CAMP is a residential arts facility in the French Pyrenees. It's a place where great art is made, new movements are formed, new ideas are explored and groundbreaking people are nurtured. CAMP is located in Aulus les Bains, the last village before the France/Spain Pyrenean frontier chain. The location is spectacular - we are nestled at 750m above sea level, surrounded by snowcapped peaks over 3000m high, ancient forests and cascading waterfalls. There are eagles, lammergeiers, vultures, ibex and bears. Walk out of the residency, and within ten minutes you are completely alone in one of the most beautiful mountain landscapes in Europe.

The Flood

Seeking submissions of video, film, photographic and/or sound work for an exhibition tentatively titled The Flood, in June 2022, at the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum. As part of the Finger Mullet Film Festival, and curated by students in Flagler College’s Curatorial Studies course, this exhibition will focus on work that visualizes, records, depicts, and investigates, the present and future of a partially submerged world. From imagined futures to the real social and economic consequences of climate change, the exhibition aspires to new ways of seeing and understanding coastlines, tidal shifts, displacement, submerged infrastructures, and other inundations.
