In the framework of CARE ECOLOGIES 2023-2025

NOSYMMETRIES is a research project which will open up a variety of artistic processes linked to issues which are pertinent to three spheres in which social inequality takes a number of forms. The open call will seek out three projects to collaborate with a guest working group previously invited on account of its career-path and its socio-political involvement in grassroots projects and issues which tackle inequality.

BYRDCLIFFE ARTISTS-IN-RESIDENCE PROGRAM - WOODSTOCK, NY - OPEN CALL FOR 2023

The Byrdcliffe Artists-in-Residence (AiR) Program offers uninterrupted time and space for creatives in all disciplines. Our serene and rustic mountain community is 2.5 hours north of NYC in Woodstock, NY with residencies open to individuals and co-applicants at all stages of their career. Byrdcliffe’s AiR program is particularly beneficial to those who find it restorative to live in a community environment surrounded by natural beauty.

Humanidad

Espacio Cultural Bitcoin summons artists from around the world to participate in Humanidad, a contest that invites to reimagine and propose through art a new world, the reconstruction of GAEA, universal brotherhood and a community without borders. Creators from all over the world will be able to present their works until October 21st.

For the selection of the best works Humanidad assembles a jury of high international category composed of:

- Macdella Cooper, activist and political leader from Liberia.

- Nicholas Fortugno, CCO of Playmatics LLC and professor of the program of Game Design and Interactive Storytelling program at Parsons School of Design.    

- Belén Mazuecos, Professor of the Painting Department of the University of Granada.

Open call for Eco and social artists /Podcast Interview

Overview

Insights of an Eco Artist is a podcast with news and insights about the art world and Eco and social artists thriving in it. Season two submissions are now open for artists working within the themes of climate action and social justice.

Eligibility

- Artists and writers whose work is focused on eco and social issues are welcome to submit their work. All techniques are welcome.

- Artists from all countries are welcome to submit.
