Arisa Ihashi

I create the story-telling and conceptual of textile works.

The view of the world of my artworks is always changing because I am still affected variety somethings.

In particular, I am inspired by scenes and texts such as books and movies related to surrealism and neo-dada.

I produce both flat and three-dimensional works and uses different materials and collage skills.

As a way of expression, I mainly make use of digital print and silkscreen print.

And the process of the artworks sometimes uses knitting and weaving skills.

By combining those techniques, I can broaden the range of expression in my artworks.

And I can express the work as a unique and original design.

The works produced by these techniques are expressed in bold colors and mysterious patterns composed of geometric patterns that directly stimulate the viewer's brain.

I have made artwork possible for prints and sizes to be selected according to the purpose of use by people. This is related to the concept of her work and is intended to provide works in a form that can be easily incorporated into people's daily lives. Print media covers various fields such as paper, cloth, woodcut, and acrylic board.

This leads to a concept ‘making textile familiar and art every day’ that I am aware of when creating my artwork.
