Windows Into Heaven - Byzantine Iconography Workshop in NYC

Workshop Dates: Friday & Saturday, February 16 & 17, 2018

Dacia Gallery is pleased to offer and exciting Byzantine Iconography Workshop. This workshop is set up as an introduction to painting traditional Romanian Icons on Glass. Students learn centuries old painting techniques in Byzantine art used on reverse glass painting. We selected specific icons for this project that each student will be able to learn the most techniques from. Including painting the face, garments, decorative backgrounds and applying 24K gold leaf. During the workshop each student will complete one Icon. The instructor Lee Vasu, will work with each student individually instructing them through the iconography process. Let us inspire you to express yourself creatively and have an incredible time learning a new art form.
