Birmingham Repertory Theatre
Artistic Director & Executive Director
Following Roxana Silbert’s appointment as Artistic Director at Hampstead Theatre and Stuart Rogers deciding to end his successful 18-year term as Executive Director, the board of The REP is seeking a new leadership team.
The REP currently produces 12-14 shows per year across the small, mid and large scale, most of which are co-produced and have lives beyond their initial runs in Birmingham. The team also run an impressive programme of learning & participation activity and an extensive artist development scheme, The Foundry. The company has seen a considerable expansion of artistic and commercial activity since returning to its refurbished building five years ago, including the addition of a very successful events and conference business.
The board are now seeking a new team with the vision, skills and experience to build on the very strong foundations in place and take the theatre on to even greater success in the future. Applications are welcome from individuals or job-shares for either role, joint applications for both roles or, indeed, proposals for a different structure.
Candidates wishing to apply for Job-share, combined position or alternative structure should apply individually, making reference to their proposal and with whom they are co-applying in the cover letter
For further details about the roles, please download the Artistic & Executive Directors’ Recruitment Pack at www.birmingham-rep.co.uk/recruitment.
The closing date for receipt of applications is Sunday 3rd February 2019, and initial interviews will be held in Birmingham on Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th February.
The REP is an equal opportunities employer and actively promotes diversity in its staff. We welcome applications from all suitably qualified people, regardless of their gender, race, disability, sexual orientation or age.
