18th Street Arts Center is the largest artist residency program in Southern California. We host 30+ international artists a year, and have 20 local artists and organizations on our campus. We are a small staff, and consistently need enthusiastic arts-lovers to help us support artists and provoke public dialogue!
REPORTS TO: Director of Communications & Outreach
TIME COMMITMENT: Minimum 3-month commitment of 10 hours per week. Schedule is flexible.
LOCATION: Santa Monica, CA. Partial telecommuting.
COMPENSATION: Volunteer. College credit possible; check with your academic advisor to make arrangements
JOB OVERVIEW: Under the supervision of the Director of Communications and Outreach the selected candidate will expand their portfolio and gain valuable professional creative experience working with an arts organization on print and digital design. Work on catalogues, artists books, showcards, ads, logos and branding with lots of creative freedom in a collaborative environment. Must be proficient with a widely used design software – Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Sketch, or Invision.
