OPEN CALL - 1-month residency in the summer of 2020 w/ stipend!

Kingsbrae International Residence for the Arts (KIRA) was established in February 2016 in an effort to support the creativity of artists. It hopes to promote excellence in the arts both here in Canada as well as in the International scene, all the while benefitting the local community of St Andrews by becoming a cultural destination. A residency at KIRA creates a rewarding and stimulating experience for any participant seeking to advance their artistic journey.

Located in beautiful St Andrews, New Brunswick, Canada. Artists live on a historic property in a beautiful seaside town and work in studios located just steps away from the residence. It is within walking distance of the down town area.

Le MUP

The Mange Un Poulpe Festival (Le MUP) is committed to the celebration of the vibrant community of short film, video, and animation artists on the beautiful island of Montreal. We hope to build ties between emerging and established professionals, and provide an arena where all short filmmakers, including students, can screen their films in public and support their fellow colleagues. Our ultimate goal is to connect short filmmakers to a broader audience in order to grow the film industry.

Its a 15$ fee for one soumission.
Here is the breakdown :

15$ :
50% goes to the cash prize;
8.5% goes to Filmfreeway;
41.5% goes to Le MUP;

3rd place : 50%
2nd place : 50%
1st place : Trophy

Banff International Workshop in Jazz & Creative Music

Overview

This three-week program brings together emerging and early career artists from around the world to work and study with Co-Artistic Directors Vijay Iyer and Tyshawn Sorey, as well as internationally acclaimed guest mentors. 

The goal is to learn, converse, build, experiment, refine, and transform — to reimagine the state of the art. This program is one of the most intensive that Banff Centre offers and continues our 40-year history of incredible jazz exploration.

Spring Writers Retreat 2020

Overview

The Spring Writers Retreat is a self-directed program that offers time and space for writers to retreat, reconnect, and re-energize their writing practice. In addition to a single room, which doubles as your private studio, you will be surrounded by a community of artistic peers. You will have the opportunity to attend inspiring talks and performances and meet with guest faculty to consult on your work.

Open Call: Artist Residency on Vancouver Island

The Ou is an artist-run gallery and artist residency located on Vancouver Island on the beautiful West Coast of Canada. Our residency, The Ou-telier, is a self-directed experience; a quiet place to decompress, experiment, research, play, and make space to develop new ideas.

Slow down and enjoy the Island life with us! Fall asleep to the sound of the creek running by and wake up to the green of thick ivy.
