"Count Us In" Creative Open Call

What or who do you want to protect most from the effects of climate change?

For February, the month of ‘love’, Count Us In are inviting artists and illustrators to submit new or existing work in the form of a single image to inspire people to consider: What or who do you want to protect most from the effects of climate change?

Selected entries from the open call will be published as part of an Instagram takeover on the Count Us In Instagram account from Valentine’s Day, February 14th.

Call for Submissions to bluebee magazine

bluebee magazine is a new art magazine dedicated to emerging and rising artists.

We are keen to support Emerging and Raising Artists from around the world. Give them a platform to present a small glimpse of their artistic work. And isn’t there always room for another inspirational collection of visual soul food.

Our editorial board takes all submissions seriously and we discuss a potential fit for the magazine carefully. We are keen to hear from all visual artists, including fine art, sculptures, digital paintings, photography, installations and even video art. Our magazine is editorial led with at least 85-90% editorial content.

HELEN OF SPARTA eResidency

Intensive 4-day virtual residency + workshop + public presentation for visual, multimedia and interdisciplinary artists, jewelry and fashion designers or writers who work with textile art, story telling, mythology, performance.

 

Participation fee: 350,00 € paid by each participant

 

The eResidency:

The Helen of Sparta eResidency aims at inspiring eight artists/writers/performers to develop their own updated version of the ancient Greek myth. The intensive four-day program addresses issues, such as misogyny, abuse, manipulation, fake news, armed conflict. 

International Art Competition Skies

Contemporary Art Room Gallery is proud to announce their 2nd "Skies" Online Art Competition for the month of September 2020. This is an international competition and artists from around the world are welcome to submit their work. All entries must include the sky as the primary focus. The gallery seeks artworks with any perspective of the sky, including clouds, night and day sky, dusk and dawn, storms, stars, moon and planets. All visual art mediums are acceptable (painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, digital, prints, fiber art, collage or installation art) except sound and video art. $15 entry fee. Deadline: September 10, 2020.

.art Domains and Ars Electronica Launch an Online Exhibition for the 2020 Edition of the Festival

In response to the global pandemic and its impact, the leading new media arts festival Ars Electronica has partnered with .art Domains to inaugurate Ars Electronica .ART Gallery, the online arm of the festival this year. It will be the first time in the festival’s history that an online showcase accompanies the physical event. 

Open Call for Submissions | 5th Annual Global Fine Art Awards - Deadline extended!

Art organizations and individuals are invited to submit nominations for the 5th Annual Global Fine Art Awards program (GFAA), now through June 15, 2018. To qualify for 2018 awards, the exhibition or installation must begin between August 1, 2017 and July 31, 2018.

About the GFAA Program

Global Fine Art Awards (GFAA) is the first annual award program ever created to recognize the best curated art and design exhibitions and installations around the world.  The research and judging criteria are innovation and excellence in exhibition design, historical context, educational value, and public appeal. This year is the fifth edition.
