International Art Competition “City”

Contemporary Art Room Gallery is proud to announce their 1st “City” Online Art Competition for the month of July 2018. This is an international competition and artists from around the world are welcome to submit their work. The City theme may include anything city related (skylines, cityscapes, towns, urban scenes or any metropolitan subjects.) A variety of interpretations of City theme can be submitted (representative, abstract, conceptional).

All visual art mediums are acceptable (painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, digital, prints, fiber art, collage or installation art) except sound and video art.

This year’s theme, Family Matters, invites artists to submit work that engages the idea of ‘family’. How does the notion of family emerge in an artist’s work?

Surface Design Journal welcomes work that embraces traditional 2D and 3D forms, while also seeking work that challenges and expands the contemporary definitions of textile/fiber-based art and design: digital art (design/animation), time-based arts (sound/video), performance art, conceptual art, land art, installation art, book arts, paper, basketry, textile design, wearables, fashion design, interior design, product de- sign, and craft-as-social-practice.

Now accepting applications to be publishes in the Summer Print Edition Magazine to be presented at following International Art Fairs in addition to the regular ditribution to hand picked galleries, museums and art consultants: Art Santa Fe in July 2018 and Art San Diego in Ocrober 2018.

Renaissance Photography Prize is an international award in its 10th year, open to all photographers and intent on discovering the best of contemporary photography. The annual prize discovers talent and celebrates the best in photography, giving image makers access to new opportunities and a world-wide audience for their work.

With judges from The Photographers' Gallery, HOTSHOE Magazine, Foam, Magnum Photos, The Guardian and many more, entering gives photographers the chance to have their work seen by a panel of some of the industry's most influential photography critics.

The prize donates all profits to support young women with breast cancer.
