Applications Open for Jerwood Makers Open 2019

Jerwood Makers Open, now in its seventh edition, is a biennial opportunity and seeks to support exceptional skill and imagination in what are traditionally described as the applied arts. JMO has established itself as one of the best regarded opportunities for makers in the craft calendar. The award and exhibition freely allow makers to develop their creative ideas and further their practice independently of specific commissioning structures. The resulting work will be shown in a group exhibition as part of the Jerwood Visual Arts programme at Jerwood Space in London next summer, before touring across the UK.

Artists' Expressions of Interest: OPDC First Annual Art Commission

OPDC and Create London are looking for expressions of interest from artists to develop and deliver a major new socially-engaged artist led project which uncovers, celebrates and showcases the industrial heritage of Park Royal by connecting it to the lived experience of its contemporary communities and businesses.

The project can take any form and we are open to ideas which encourage us to think about the heritage of Park Royal in new ways and that can respond to local socio-political themes and the wider London and UK context.

Call out: Artists & Workshop leaders engaging with Asylum, Migration and Refuge

Journeys Festival International celebrates the creative talents of exceptional refugee and asylum seeker artists, sharing the refugee experience through great art and culture. We are looking for artists from a refugee or asylum seeker background or working around themes of migration and displacement to lead a series of artist talks and family workshops between June-December 2018. The project will take place across the city of Portsmouth, with events taking place in libraries, community centres, cafes and schools. These activities will foster better dialogue around the issues that affect the RAS community and promote better social cohesion; and will culminate in a celebratory procession through the streets of Portsmouth as part of Journeys Festival in October 2018.
