Call for Art Installations:
Every year, True/False Film Festival brings a multitude of talented visual artists from near and far to reinvent venues and transform public spaces. 

This is a strong platform for expanding visual artists’ ability to create site-specific installations in unconventional spaces, providing a challenge for artists to explore beyond the traditional gallery atmosphere. We are excited to work with artists at all stages of their careers, from emerging artists to well-established exhibiting artists.

We have a highly skilled art curatorial team to install and deinstall the installations in the various venues. We encourage artwork which can be shipped and installed by our T/F team.

2022 Foundwork Artist Prize | $10,000 Juried Grant with Studio Visits and Interview

The Foundwork Artist Prize is an annual juried award to recognize outstanding practices by contemporary emerging and mid-career artists working in any media. The Prize is open to artists residing anywhere in the world with limited exceptions, and the deadline to register is September 26, 2022.

One honoree will receive an unrestricted $10,000 grant and studio visits with each of the distinguished jurors. In addition, the honoree and three shortlisted artists will each be interviewed as part of the Foundwork Dialogues program to further public engagement with their work.

$550.00 Innovate Grants for Artists + Photographers

SUMMER 2022 OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS — Innovate Grant  awards (2) $550.00 grants each quarter, to one Visual Artist and one Photographer. In addition, (4) honorable mentions (2 in art and 2 in photo), will be featured and recognized on our website and join a growing community of vibrant and talented artists. Innovate Grant's commitment extends beyond the grant cycle by promoting the work of selected winners and honorable mentions into the future. Innovate Grant supports artists and photographers through quarterly grants. We've simplified the grant process, so that artists and photographers can focus on making their innovative work. The work should speak for itself and our application reflects that.

July PleinAir Salon $33,000 Art Competition

The PleinAir Salon $33,000 Art Competition is a monthly online competition consisting of 19 categories. We award over $33,000 each year for this competition. The Annual Grand Prize winner receives a check for $15,000 and is featured on the cover of PleinAir Magazine. We award an additional $6,500 to the annual winners and award $1,100 monthly to the top three winners of each competition as well as a People’s Choice Award. Each of the 23 monthly winners will be automatically entered into the Annual Competition. The annual awards are presented live at the Plein Air Convention & Expo each spring.

MOVEMENT GROUP JURIED SHOW

What MOVES you? Submit your original or limited edition artwork that has been created within the past two years for the group juried exhibit, MOVEMENT. Many things move. Examples are mechanical objects (cars, trains, boats), light, water, people and so on. Showcase what MOVES in your artwork. Best in Show is voted on by the public and the artist with the most votes wins a $100 cash prize. Enter up to 5 works online via our call for entry portal.

Class of 2022

CIRCA x Dazed Class of 2022 returns bigger and brighter with an open call for new media creators and world builders to win the #CIRCAECONOMY cash prize of £30,000 and see their work appear on London’s iconic Piccadilly Lights screen in September.

This year’s theme ‘A FUTURE WORLD’ is inspired by the CIRCA 2022 manifesto ‘And Now We Build Worlds’, calling for new media responses with a two-and-a-half minute moving image work. This could be an existing piece of work or a new creation. It’s entirely up to you!
