OPEN CALL BIDFF #8 – SHORT DANCE FILMS
(UN)SAFE ZONES

Filmmakers, dance artists, animators, visual artists and digital art makers are invited to submit their works for the International and Romanian Short Film Competitions of BIDFF – Bucharest International Dance Film Festival.

Through the (un)safe zones theme, the eighth edition of BIDFF (September 8 - 11, 2022) invites artists and audiences alike to witness art redefining its shapes in a world in crisis. The artistic formats undergo mandatory mutations: the film leaves the cinema, the dance leaves the stage, the stage becomes a space open to debates, and the reality is radically transformed by imaginative artistic manifestations.

Artist Residency

Art, Community and Tech describe the prophecy for July.

At the end of next month, Traditional Dream Factory will host the first-ever Abela Art Fair. For that purpose, we are looking for 1-3 artists that would like to come and stay for an artistic residency during July to create large scale art pieces - that can either remain on the land or be taken by the artist.

As a resident you will get:

- The possibility to exhibit during the event and connect with artists and crypto art collectors.

- Education and guidance on how to set up NFTs to have it available for sale in our fiat-less fair.

- Material supplies.

- A possible grant in tokens to be negotiated between the artist and curation team

By „retelling utopia“, we are looking for your individual and collective visions! How do you grasp, conceive and feel it? In which utopia would you like to live in? On par, World Cinema Carnival wishes to explore the other faces of ideocracy through interrelationships between humans. In this paralyzed motion of Ideocracy defines " the governance of a state according to the principles of no particular ideology; where a state or country can govern in no particular way". It is the government based on an anti-monistic ideology—as distinct from an non-authoritarian state which is characterized by shallow central power and uncontrollable political freedoms.
