Open Call 2024 Exhibition Season

We are now accepting applications for our 2024 Exhibition Season. Each exhibition lasts one month, with a hard launch on First Friday - the first Friday of the month - where the entire arts district lights up for a gallery hop. We host regular community events and programming for our patrons, where your art will be the center of attention! We have soft openings on the first Thursday of the month for an intimate artist talk.

Please visit our website at www.621galleryinc.org/apply for specific requirements and how to apply. We are eager to showcase a variety of contemporary works and look forward to reviewing your works.

Guest Room: Simon Baker & Aden Vincendeau

Guest Room aims to spark collaboration. Simon Baker, Director of the MEP (Maison Européene de la Photographie, Paris), is teaming up with his colleague Aden Vincendeau.

Together, they have developed the following framework for your submissions: "Happy accidents: embracing mistakes".

Overworld: Photography and New Media

For our inaugural exhibition at Midsummer, we extend a global invitation to artists, welcoming submissions of photographs and new media pieces that revolve around the themes of landscape and nature.

We have room for a total of fifteen artworks per showcase.

If a sale occurs, the artist retains full ownership of the profits generated from the sale of their artwork. They are expected to engage directly with the buyer to handle payment, framing, shipping, and related matters. We will help with sales at the artist's discretion.

We will also supply a press release and a checklist for each exhibition.

Our exhibition is an inclusive platform open to photographers from across the world, whether they are amateurs or seasoned professionals.

Hanging by a Thread

To many, the very existence of humanity, figuratively and literally, is hanging by a thread. From the nightly news, the existential threats include our democracy, our health, our ability to live on our planet.

Artists from all disciplines can creatively make the passionate plea to change the story and change the culture to save our earth and humanity. We strive to collaborate and to create a visceral and emotional experience that inspires the necessary adaptations in human behavior and industry to save our future.

Digital America Online Journal Call for Submission

Digital America is interested in pushing the boundaries of online publishing. We publish an array of digital art, internet art, design, and critical essays that question, analyze, and/or hack the tools of digital culture. You can submit work independently to submissions@digitalamerica.org (see guidelines below). Selected work is either published in our fall issue (November) or our spring issue (April). If you’re curious if your work would be a good fit for the journal, we suggest taking some time to read through the last few issues. We promise it’s time well spent.
