FILM+ launches the call for young filmmakers’s projects - Edition no. 7

Early career filmmakers from Romania, Serbia, Bulgaria, Moldova and Ukraine are invited to submit their projects to the 7th edition of FILM+, the support program for independent low budget film productions.

FILM + facilitates the development of selected projects, regardless of the genre of films (fiction, animation, documentary, experimental) and the stage they are at the time of application (script development, production, post-production).

Political Storm is an online Exhibition. Though often divisive and inflammatory, we can't avoid politics in today's world. The intrinsic beliefs and opinions that shape us as human beings can almost always be seen in a political light.

This exhibition takes place a right before the critical elections this exhibition hopes to explore our continued political discourse with the use of imagery to make the point of our current state of the nation.

OPEN CALL: VISIO-European Programme on Artists’ Moving Images

Lo Schermo dell’Arte presents the eleventh edition of VISIO-European Programme on Artists’ Moving Images, a research, residency and production programme dedicated to artists who use moving images in their artistic practice.

The project, curated by Leonardo Bigazzi, will be held in Florence in conjunction with the 15th Lo Schermo dell’Arte – Cinema and Contemporary Art Festival (November 15 – 20, 2022). The 8 participants will be young European artists who work with moving images; they will be selected through an open call organised in collaboration with some of Europe’s leading art academies, schools and artist residencies. The deadline to apply is Friday, September 9, 2022.

Berlin, I ?❤? you

We'd like to suggest you participate in an open call on the topic “Berlin, I ?❤? you”. Through your art, you could express your feelings about this city. Do you adore it or hate it? Did Berlin change your life? How does it look in your eyes?

The exhibition will run from August 19th to August 24th. The deadline for application is August 14th.

Type of art:

We accept any form of visual art for this exhibition.

- It can be paintings, sculptures, or printed digital art.

- It can be a digital photo art that can be used in a slideshow;

- It can be a video art that would be filmed on a wall and on the window screens (not longer than 15 minutes);

- It can be books, magazines, or other literature-related physical objects;

DARK MATTERS

Science Gallery Melbourne is inviting proposals for projects to be included in our 2023 exhibition ‘Dark Matters’, which will be developed in collaboration with Arts at CERN and the ARC Centre of Excellence for Dark Matter Particle Physics. This open call is extended to everyone, from every level of experience and from every discipline and from every culture. First Peoples, Queer, CALD, BIPOC, Neuro-diverse, Disabled People and people from the Deaf community are encouraged to apply.

Metamorphosis: From Marginal to Magnificent is a full-spectrum art exhibition including photography, traditional art, 3-D works, spoken word, performance art, and film.  Arabi Visual Arts is partnering with our neighbor Zeitgeist Theatre to produce this exhibition along with films and performances inspired by and/or created by all types of marginalized people.
