Oxford Arts Alliance 8th Annual National Juried Exhibition

The Oxford Arts Alliance is a community-based non-profit organization providing leadership and advocacy for the arts and culture. Our National Juried Exhibitions have had great success in the past seven years, with over 300 entries each year, and renowned jurors, including Jennifer Samet of the City University of New York and Hyperallergic, an online publication that has become a leading voice in contemporary perspectives on art, culture, and more. The juror for our 8th Annual National Juried Exhibition is Kyle Staver, a professional artist living and working in New York City; you can read more about Ms. Staver here. This is an OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS to submit artwork for the 8th Annual National Juried Exhibition on view from October 7-October 28 at 38 S Third St Oxford PA 19363.

The Rural Experience Collective (REC) is excited to announce our first open call for our 2022 Zine Publication titled: The Rural Experience Cookbook. Whether it’s your dad’s barbecue sauce, your grandma's finest cookie recipe, or that weird dish no one actually likes, we all have recipes that we hold with us. The Rural Experience Cookbook will be a publication of recipes and artwork by artists with rural ties.

Hidden Eyes Open Call for Art

Humans are curious – and looking into each other's lives is a source of creativity. Though we may not be aware of it, we are all voyeurs. We obtain gratification from observing others. There is excitement in looking into other people’s lives, peeking into their worlds, guessing their stories and thoughts. Through a window, behind a bush, from a bench in the park, or a table at a cafe: other people’s scenes are a pretty amazing show. We're always looking to the Other because we're storied beings – because we make sense of our lives in relation to others.  

What art emerges when you look at other people's reality? 
How does peeking at others ignite your creative process?
What emotions steer your art in the act of contemplating others?

Dream Living Open Call for Art

As Jung said, "Life does not come from events, but from us”. Human behavior is the endless stream of perceptions, feelings, and thoughts at both the conscious and unconscious levels, but what the eye cannot produce, the brain completes the external on an unconscious level. We create the meaning of the events around us. The meaning is and always was artificial. So, what is the reality?.

For this exhibition, Culturally Arts is seeking works that explore the inner world of the human mind based on the unconscious, about the journey to the inside of one’s unique perspective of what reality truly means through the eye of the beholder.
