Scream of the Butterfly

This exhibition, inspired by a lyric in the Doors song: “When the Music’s over” will take place on the first weekend of June 2022 at The Davies Gilder Gallery at New House in Guildford.

Scream of the Butterfly will showcase work from a group of artists who use their mediums to sublimate personal experience, or reflect that of others, exploring complex psychological states.

friends in the arts presents the theme star portraits for fita’s international art magazine created by the friends in the arts community, to promote creative individuals and cultural organizations working exceptionally in the arts. we are committed to explore the best being produced around the globe and select the most impressive analysis of contemporary art forms in our bi-annual editorial magazine published in april and october.

Women Art/ Special Edition

"If I speak in a voice which is my own, it’s bound to be the voice of a woman”. Isabel Bishop.

For the Special Edition, we are looking for women artists, working in different media such as painting, drawing, sculpture, textile, ceramics, jewelry, crafts, collage, illustration, photography, mixed media, installation, and digital art. In addition, we would like to include poems or stories as well, don’t be shy writers and poets, send us your piece of work for consideration.

Each artist will get 5-8 pages, including biography, artist statement, personal interview, and artworks.

Each writer/poet will get 3-4 pages, including their stories/poems, biography.

Application is free, 20 EUR for selected artists.

"Revival" Group Art Exhibition

The term “revival” seems so familiar. What does it mean though? Returning to life or consciousness, health or popularity? Bringing or coming back into use, attention, or being, after a decline? Restoration to use, acceptance, activity, or vigor after a period of obscurity or quiescence? New presentation of something? Renewed interest in something after indifference or decline? Reawakening of something? Reanimation from a state of langour or depression? Renewed pursuit or flourishing state of something? Renewed prevalence of something, as a practice or a fashion?

ANIMA MUNDI - Venice International Art Fair

ITSLIQUID Group, in collaboration with Venice Events, EGO’ Boutique Hotel and ACIT Venice – Italian-German Cultural Association, is pleased to announce the open call for ANIMA MUNDI 2022, international exhibition of photography, painting, video art, installation/sculpture, and performance art, that will be held in Venice at THE ROOM Contemporary Art Space (click here to learn more about our location), at ITSLIQUID ART SPACE – Venice Grand Canal (click here to learn more on this venue), at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello (click here to learn more on this venue) and in other prestigious venues between April and July 2022, during the 59th Venice Biennale of Art. 

64th Annual Permian Basin Juried Art Exhibition

The Ellen Noël Art Museum in Odessa, TX will be hosting the 64th Annual Permian Basin Juried Art Exhibition June 2nd through August 21st. Submissions are open from April 1st through the 18th. This exhibition celebrates practicing artists in West Texas and surrounding regions. Over $2,000 in cash prizes will be awarded as well as the chance at a solo exhibition. In addition to the opportunity to display their works, artists may list works for sale with all proceeds going directly to them.  This year’s juror is Diana Kersey, San Antonio ceramics artist and Assistant Professor at Northwest Vista College.
