From Home (2020-) is an independent curatorial project designed with the intention of gathering personal messages from people around the world.

Each postcard, letter, photograph, object, etc. sent, by post mail (to Portugal), will be photographed and displayed in the official pages of the project along with the personal message (if also sent).

Every person that participates will have their name credit on the text (when published) of the item they send.

The Art Of Aging

J. Mane Gallery in conjunction with Homewatch CareGivers® of New Haven invites submissions for The Art Of Aging online juried art exhibition.  

The onset of aging can be so gradual that we are often surprised to find that one day it is fully upon us. The changes to the senses, appearance, reflexes, physical endurance, and sexual appetites are undeniable-and rarely welcome-and yet, getting older has its surprising blessings.  Growing old is not a disease but an art. For those who practice it well, it can bring extraordinary rewards; Faith and inner strength, the deepening of personal relationships, the realization that career does not define identity, the acceptance that some goals will remain unaccomplished-these are among the secrets of those who age well.

What I Make of My Space

Share a space that you have been spending more time in during physical distancing, or an area that you simply love to inhabit. Rather than a simple room view, how can you capture the essence of your confinement, or – conversely – your enjoyment of the space? You may include a description, poem or written piece that you feel better describes your image. All mediums are welcome, including video. This exhibition will be curated, exhibited online and shared publicly through social media. If you're an artist, awesome, you know the drill. If not, then break out your smartphone and get creative. Make art, then let’s share it together!

A SHOW OF HEADS

A SHOW OF HEADS is a thematic group exhibition of work that includes and/or is based on the portrayal and interpretation of the human head. The exhibition will be held online on the Limner Gallery web site, November 1 - 30, 2020, and will also be viewable on the site thereafter until June of 2021. The exhibition will also be published in a both a print and digital magazine format that will be distributed through direct mail to Limner Gallery collectors and metropolitan bookstores. Deadline August 31. Open for entry to all artists working in any media.
