Life Under the Pandemic Moon: Virtual Exhibition

Life Under the Pandemic Moon is a virtual exhibition organized by renowned artist and League instructor Hugo Bastidas. The exhibit invites artists in the community to reflect and respond to the current global health crisis. Bastidas’ paintings frequently reference architecture, water, vegetation and art history, and reflect his concern about the human condition, globalization, and their effect on the Earth’s well-being. Selected works will be shared in a virtual gallery on LINEA, The League’s online journal.

Free Curatorial Consultation by iksvy art

Launching a new project!

We know the whole art world has been struggling every day as more events get canceled, studios are closed, and people are experiencing existential crises. This period will come to an end, but until then we need to keep the ball rolling, exchange ideas, brainstorm, and motivate each other. Thus, iksvy art will give curatorial sessions to one artist every week. All artists, curators, organizers, and anyone in the creative industries are invited to take part! We'll select one person each week and hold an online curatorial session over Skype or Zoom. During the session, you can ask for a portfolio/CV review, brainstorm about your project, or simply talk about anything of your choice.

AAP Magazine#11: Travels

Our 11th printed issue of AAP Magazine will feature the best projects showcasing the theme Travels. In these unprecedented times, while we are all staying home to reduce the spread of the virus, let's escape through powerful images. Reflect on past adventures, expand our horizons with view from the four corners of the globe!

We are looking for your travel photographs, near and far, to the edge of the earth and to the places perhaps known only to you. Whether you're hauling around a view camera and a tripod or just pulling a mobile phone out of your back pocket, we want to see what you've captured and how you're telling your story.

Thinly Through These Walls

I want you to sit in a room and write down all you can see around you on a piece of paper.

i then want you to wait for a little while, walk out of the room and turn the page.

on an other page, write down all the things and objects you remember about the room.

It is not a project that encourages you to explore your creative side, but it attempts to pose questions surrounding what is seen and not seen. What exists in our own mind might be different from the space we live in and what we pay attention to may vary.

at a time where many of u are indoors anyways, I think it might be an interesting way to activate the space around us.

it is open to anyone.

thank you

x Sanna
