NYC4PA CALL FOR ENTRY - ARCHITECTURE 2021

Architecture is defined as the art or science of building, often with a focus on habitable structures.  Great architects like Gehry, Wright, and Gaudi come to mind as well as famous buildings like the Sydney Opera House and the Disney Music Hall in LA. But architecture can be much broader that habitable buildings. Consider the Eiffel Tower, the pyramids in Egypt and interiors like the main hall at New York's Grand Central Station.  Gardens can have a fundamental architecture as can other carefully planned spaces, and skylines may represent a collection of similar or different types of architecture.

Prospectus

J. Mane Gallery invites submissions for its SnapShot online juried art exhibition.  

According to Wikepedia, the definition of Photography is the science, art, application and practice of creating durable images by recording light or other electromagnetic radiation, either electronically by means of an image sensor or chemically by means of a light-sensitive material such as photographic film.

A photograph captures a moment in time.  Show us your favorite moments.

Exposures: Photography '21

Fine art photographers express their ideas, emotions and messages in their artistic creations. We are amazed by the images made by area photographers, and we are  looking forward to seeing what they might enter for this show. 

This year 's juror is Jenny Risher, a CCS graduate and teacher. She will select the pieces to be included in the show based on the online entry images. 

The awards will be based on the accepted artwork after it is hung in the gallery. Awards will include Best of Show ($150), 2nd place ($100) and 3rd place ($75), plus honorable mentions.

Feb 8 - March 7, 2021: Online Call for Entry

March 14, 2021:  Notification of acceptance/decline

March 25-27: Drop off accepted artwork (during gallery hours)

Handbali Magazine Call for Publication

Handbali Magazine calls on artists and groups to present a documentary project that highlights na- tural or urban spaces, as well as the interaction between nature and human beings, to form the second publication of this new emerging photography fanzine. Open to participants of any age and nationality, with projects completed or in progress, as close as possible to publication.

To participate it is not necessary to have a big CV. The Handbali team is looking for new, fresh projects with a strong character that show that there are no limitations in photography.
