Open Call for Submissions: House Letters Issue 2

House Letters is a new independent and interdisciplinary online publication that engages with the uncertain times caused by COVID-19. We are looking for contributions exploring the theme ‘Absence and Presence’ for Issue 2. Contributors are welcome to interpret the theme as they wish and image-based and text-based work (taking any format) will be considered.

Successful submissions will be experimental and critically engaged, relating to the historical moment we are living through.

BAME applicants are particularly encouraged to submit and their work will be prioritised.

Deadline: Monday 22 June 2020. Submissions will be reviewed after this date.

ASG is pleased to announce our “Fourth Annual International Animated Short Film Festival.” In our ongoing effort to present unique and challenging art experiences to the public, Aggregate Space Gallery is proud to launch this celebration of non-commercial and experimental animation. Animation, as a subset within video art, is unique in its versatility as a communicative form and its ability to place viewers inside adjacent realities. It is a medium without rules or restrictions, and its content can address ideas as simple or as complex as the animator intends.

Artists who apply will have their work featured on our social media platforms, i.e., Instagram and Facebook, as well as on our website. Artists from every background are encouraged to apply. We will feature 6 artists at a time for our general entries.

Cinedanza Festival - international screendance contest and festival

Cinedanza Festival is an international screendance contest and festival that take place in Modena every year at the end of October.

We're looking for short screendance films

- Deadline 24th August 2020

- The films will undergo a pre-selection by an artistic committee. The organization will notify the results to the participants by 20th September 2020.

- Maximum film length is 10 minutes

- The films must be produced after 1st January 2017

- The films have to be subtitled in italian or english

NICE DANCE FILM

Compagnie Humaine / Eric Oberdorff launches a call for dance short films in partnership with Nice European Short film Festival for its 2020 edition.

Since 2018, “Un festival c’est trop court!” celebrates dance by including a selection of dance films in its programming in partnership with the Compagnie Humaine. We are very happy to launch our 3rd call for NICE DANCE FILM.
