EQ: Evolution of the String Quartet | Summer Music 2019

Overview

Led by violinist Aisslinn Nosky and featuring four of the most exciting string quartets to be found anywhere — JACK, Eybler, Parker, and Bozzini quartets — along with an extraordinary group of soloists, composers, and scholars, Evolution of the String Quartet (EQ) explores the string quartet lineage from Haydn to music made in Banff by and for the faculty and participants of EQ.

Featuring a faculty of performers drawn from the ranks of the International Contemporary Ensemble, along with an extraordinary group of composers, improvisers, and conversation partners, Ensemble Evolution explores the evolving range and depth of ensemble playing in the early 21st century. 

Artist Residency in New York City - Register Today

Residency Dates: April 1 - 6, 2019

Dacia Gallery is pleased to announce its Artist Residency Program in New York City. The painting intensive program will comprise of drawing and painting the figure from life, guest lecturers, a business of art course and gallery visits. Additionally, Dacia Gallery will host a group exhibition of the artwork you created during the workshop. The residency is open to all visual artists and will accommodate all levels of experience. Artists living in New York, national and international artists are invited to attend. This is a wonderful opportunity to study and paint in NYC, if you are interested in participating register today, spots are limited.

WOODSTOCK AIR

CPW’s photography-based Artist-In-Residence Program was created to expand the dialogue around diversity, race, identity and social justice, and to provide concrete opportunities for US-based artists, scholars and curators of color, who have often been under-represented in general programs. Artists-in-Residence (AIRs) are given access to facilities and financial, critical, and technical support. The drive for this program is to free the artist from the busy routines and demands of everyday life – and to provide a sanctuary for creativity.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR MARCH/APRIL 2019 RESIDENCY PROGRAM

We invite artists, photographers, musicians, filmmakers, writers, curators, and researchers to apply for 2019 DE-CONSTRUKT residency opportunities for March/April We provide a space to develop new ideas, create temporal work and encouragement to form new networks.  

All participants must either make a public event in Red Hook or work with the neighborhood directly. We will work with each resident to organize their event and will publicize it in our newsletter and social media.  

Artists are required to stay at least 2 weeks. Please note two-week residencies make it difficult to organize events due to the short time frame if you would like to make an event at our studio we suggest staying for (1) month.
