The Electro-etching residency is located on the north coast of the island of Gran Canaria, Spain, its goal is spread out the non-toxic electro-etching applying to the graphic arts as an alternative to the traditional intaglio processes with acids. This new techinique is more healthier for printmakers and more environmentally friendly. It is directed by the artist Alfonso Crujera, a specialist in this technique who has taught courses and set up electro-etching units in different professional workshops and universities. Also hie has published numerous articles and the book Electro-etching handbook, a safe, not-toxic approach in 2013.
