Both methods – of physical actions and of active analysis – are the products of the latest periods of artistic life and research of Stanislavsky and his successors. Active analysis in a way united the main analytical instruments of the system from the past, but also opened a new space for the free investigation of the material from the practical perspective, providing actor with much more direct responsibility and influence to the analysis and meaning-making of the scene. The Method of physical actions also challenged the previous optics of the analysis as a largely intellectual process; therefore, both of these methods are worth our attention in order to understand the future.
