Junk Munkez began as a small collaborative upcycling project in late 2011 in response to an ongoing waste management crisis in Beirut, Lebanon.
We managed to deter an approximate 300+ Kg of plastic, metal, paper, and cardboard waste from local landfills in our six-year operation in Lebanon through our 100+ workshop modules given to 500+ participants between the ages of 3 and 65, in addition to our bespoke upcycled small-scale furniture designs, toys, and home decor creations.
