3 days intensive workshop exploring the correspondence of lines among humans and non-humans.

Workshop exploring the interdepedence of humans with non-humans animate and inanimate led by Gabriella Zeno on the Amalfi Coast.

We will work in the natural environments of the Amalfi Coast, UNESCO World Heritage Centre, in some parts of the Costiera where the natural landscapes survive intact, with little, if any, human interventions, in the areas that are accessed by ancient and narrow mountain paths.

The basic training and point of departure for this movement research is a comprehensive training that investigates the human body as a line and the natural environments as a meshwork of lines. The aim is to explore the correspondence of lines existing among humans and non humans in order to overcome the anthropocentrism, to recreate our relationships with bodily others of all kinds, and to explore walking as an aesthetic expression.

The Wandering Walking Movement Research is a pioneering approach to movement and creative process, a learning process to move in ways that enable us to feel and perceive our interdependence with others of all kinds and the earth itself. To move as a migratory animal or an ancient human, to move in ways that enable us to heal the interior scission that lives inside us, the scission of body-mind, and to find, in this way, our authentic and original place in this world as living creatures among all the other beings, human and non-human, animate and inanimate.

The programme includes physical training, wandering-walking practice, theoretical sessions, and improvvisation.

First session: from 8.30 am to 12:30 pm  (training, wandering-walking)

break from 12:30 pm to 15:00 pm

Second session: from 15:00 pm to 19:00 pm  (theory and improvvisation)

Participants profile: for artists and mature students working in dance, physical theater, landscape art, for creative nomads, and all those interested in exploring expression, creativity and awareness through moving in natural environments.

Limited spots: this kind of movement research is conceived for small groups.

Pratical Information: Bring hiking boots, backpack and canteen.

Hostel fee: 20,00 euro per night

Workshop fee: 150 euro

The whole workshop fee needs to be transferred before 12 October 2023.
