New York Art Competitions are pleased to announce the opening of the Latin American Contemporary Fine Art Competition. Fine artists from Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain, Portugal, the Latin American diaspora, and artists residing in any of the above, are invited to submit their works for a chance to be selected for promotional awards designed to boost their careers.
This year’s awards include a participation in a collective exhibition in New York, an Art Fair, cash prizes and online promotion. Painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, digital, printing, and mixed media are eligible. All submitted artwork must be available for sale.
Submissions are accepted from July 26th to April 13th, 2021.

"Solo Art Contest" Online International Juried Exhibition

Gallery Ring announces a Solo Art Contest. Artists worldwide are encouraged to submit a portfolio of 8 works of art for consideration. Three selected artists will win one of the Solo Ruby, Solo Emerald and Solo Sapphire Awards, each of which comes with a corresponding online Solo Exhibition as the special prize. Deadline: Tuesday, September 1, 2020. The winning artists will receive a digital Award Certificate and a special Award Page ideal for use in their portfolios and for sharing the news on social media and websites. 2D artwork, including photography/digital is eligible in all artistic styles from realistic to experimental. The contest is open to all artists worldwide over 18 years of age, from emerging to established. Fee - $30.00 US per portfolio.

SIILK GALLERY are pleased to announce the first edition of our photography award, with a cash prize, online feature / artist interview, culminating with a 2 week solo show at our gallery in Athens, Greece. The SIILK Gallery Photography Award is available to photographers and photo based artists around the world working in all methods, genres, and styles. We are looking to support photographers whose work is quality, progressive, and contemporary. We promote originality, free expression, and are against banality and the commercialization of human creativity.

1st place: Solo Exhibition at Siilk Gallery, Cash Prize towards flights and printing costs, Online Feature/ Interview
Runner up: Inclusion in a group show at our gallery in Athens & Online Feature / Interview
Finalists 3-5: Finalists will be offered an online feature / interview
A jury of industry professionals from various backgrounds will select and vote on the prize winners.

SIILK is situated in the Exarchia / Neapoli area of Athens, Greece. The center of art and culture in Athens, it has a thriving arts scene and community. Exarchia has an edgy alternative vibe, its streets decorated with politically charged murals and lined with anarchist bookshops and stores selling rare vinyl and vintage antiques. Bars and clubs host live music, including rembetika, jazz and punk acts. For night life and the arts, entertainment and contemporary culture it is the place to be in Athens, Greece. Neapoli is the more affluent, hipster and young professionals place of choice in the city, and our gallery is located right between these two areas.

Eligibility:
The competition is open to all living artists, with no limitations on age, location or experience.
Entry Fee:
The entry fee is €15 for up to 3 images. Submission fees are nonrefundable and go towards the administrative costs of allocating the awards.

Jurors:
Daniel Peace: Daniel Peace is a photographer, curator, and the founder of SIILK gallery from Newcastle, UK.
His debut exhibitions took place at Hoxton Gallery (UK) and the Royal academy of Art (UK). Since 2015, he has exhibited in and curated throughout North America and Europe.
He has photographed designers at Berlin, Paris, and Mexico City Fashion Week, as well as shooting editorials and lookbooks for designers around the globe. His work has been featured in Féroce, Notion, Noctis, Dazed, i-D, Kaltblut, Autré, Vice, Spindle, Crom, Vogue Britain, and many more.
After living in London, Berlin, and Mexico City, he moved to Athens, Greece in 2019 to open SIILK gallery, with the aim of promoting visual artists who are under-represented within the traditional system.
Giselle Fryatt: Born in the United States, Giselle Fryatt is an award winning creative producer, curator, and art advisor at SIILK Gallery.
Having curated exhibitions and art fairs in the USA, UK, France, Germany, and Luxembourg, she has collaborated with artists, independent, galleries, and cultural institutions across Europe and the United States.
With a focus on collaborative and multidisciplinary approaches, her work has been featured at festivals, galleries, and pop-up spaces around the world. She seeks to support creative practitioners whose work contributes to a critical cultural and societal discourse.
She currently lives between the USA and UK.

ACT INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL FOR EMERGING PERFORMING ARTISTS OPEN CALL

ACT 2021 International Festival for Emerging Performing Artists has opened its call for proposals until 13 December 2020. The pieces must be created by emerging companies or authors, they can belong to any performing arts discipline and must have a maximum duration of 30 minutes.
ACT continues to be a point of reference in the performing arts with innovative proposals and with the participation of international programmers.
The XVIII edition of the festival will be held in Bilbao and Barakaldo between June 2nd and 5th 2021 at the Guggenheim Bilbao Museoa, Kafe Antzokia and Teatro Barakaldo.

Organised by: BAI Bizkaiko Antzerki Ikastegia – Performing Arts School, with the collaboration of the Bilbao and Barakaldo City Councils, the Bizkaia County, the Basque Government and the Spanish Ministery of Culture.
-ACT main award: 2.000 € for the production of a new project and a two weeks of an artistic residency in Bilbao, besides the possibility to visit us in the next edition to present the result of the new work.
-ACT-DURI Korea award to the best international emerging artists, consisting of a performance at DURI Dance Theatre of Seoul with all expenses covered.
- ACT Artistic Residency. 15 days of residency with accommodation.

The Indian Contemporary Art Competition (ICAC) aims to discover and promote talented artists from India, the Indian diaspora, as well as foreigners living and working in India. ICAC intends to create an opportunity to celebrate and expose artists who passionately embrace the colorful culture of India. Up for grabs are prizes valued at more than $55,000, all chosen and arranged to give the selected artists the international exposure that will extend their network with fellow artists and collectors from all over the world. Prizes include participation in different events such as a collective exhibition in New York, an art fair, and an online promotion, plus generous cash awards.
