Immigration, Integration and Community

This is an open call from Kulturschöpfer’s Green Hill Gallery for a group exhibition from Jan 23rd until Feb 12, 2023. We are looking for Berlin-based artists who have worked on the topic of immigration and integration. The exhibition will create the backdrop for a podium discussion on the topic of immigration by the federal ministry of the interior on January 23rd. The minister Nancy Faeser will be present at the discussion. Please apply by January 17th with a short artist statement on how your work is related to the topic of immigration, picture(s) of the work(s) you want to exhibit, and your vita. If accepted, your work must be in our gallery by 17:00 on Thursday, January 19th.

The animal kingdom is full of fascinating and incredible creatures, each with their own unique abilities, behaviors, and characteristics. There are over 1.5 million known species of animals, and new species are still being discovered today.

Animals have been depicted in art for thousands of years, representing a wide range of symbolism, from grace and speed to strength and nobility to transformation and freedom. But we can all agree that they are beautiful and captivating, and we will forever be drawn to their natural beauty and power. Show us ANIMALIA from your perspective.

What Is Art | 5th Edition | Call For Artists

What is art in the 21st century? 

While some artists are keeping a very traditional approach to art, others are taking risks into the unknown and there has always been a constant debate about “What Is Art” and what makes it valuable. 

In contemporary world success can be seen in varied approaches, great examples are Damien Hirst and David Hockney, two of the world most famous and richest artists and yet with such a different approach to contemporary art. 

The purpose of this exhibition is to create a dialogue between different approaches to contemporary art and to demonstrate that either way can be successful.

LNR Open Call. Online exhibition

Most of the Kunstmatrix adopters were seen in 2020; indeed, the program dates back to around 2008. I began curating online only in 2020, during the first wave of COVID. Even though it now seems that everyone has returned to the physical again, for me this „new“ discovered love has remained – sitting a couple of evenings in my office, playing and thinking about online exhibition displays, giving a line to the selected paintings in the online architectures, highlighting, or even hiding artworks on digital walls. For 2023, we have decided to make an open call.

Do you have an idea, a series of works that deeply explore a theme, a thread, something that doesn’t let you sleep?

Collect Art is looking for artists interested in presenting works for sale, and/or involved in our projects.

Eligibility: Open to all nationalities and to any aged 18 and above, artists working in different media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, contemporary jewelry, textile, printmaking, ceramics, photography, collage, and digital art.
