Submission now open - Bath Open Art Prize 2020

Open to visual artists working in any medium, an eclectic and exciting mix of high level submissions are received; including video and installation as well as painting, print and 3D.

Selected works will be exhibited for 2 weeks at 44AD artspace in the centre of Bath, as part of Fringe Arts Bath Festival, 22 May to 7 June 2020. 

Judges Natasha Kidd, Artist, and Bridget Sterling, Curator, will be selecting works for exhibition and awarding the prizes.

Submission fee:

  • 1 artwork £20
  • up to 3 artworks £30

All proceeds from the Bath Open Art Prize go towards producing the exhibition, and supporting production of Fringe Arts Bath Festival, a non-profit, volunteer-led org. #FaB20

Call out to Artists - Fringe Arts Bath Festival 2020

Inviting Artists and Creatives from across the globe to respond to 20 exhibition and event proposals by early career curators. These will come together as the Fringe Arts Bath 2020 Festival programme, a free 17 day free festival of contemporary visual arts placed in unusual places in unexpected ways for people to happen across and interact with, with exhibitions, interventions and events. FaB festival: 22 May to 7 June 2020, in Bath, UK.

There are 20 different exhibitions to submit to for FaB 2020, everyone can submit, from anywhere in the world.

Untitled Space 2020 Residency Fellowship

Object as Catalyst | Visual Arts Thematic

Overview

Form, function, and artisanship create points of access to art objects that are immediate, transferrable, and universal. However, art is also an impetus for activating the liminal space between artists and viewers, individuals, and communities through narrative, memory, and social engagement.  

In this residency, explore making within a methodology of reciprocity, care, and performative and participatory process. From the personal moments of creation to the hidden moments of reward to the visible moments that arise through interaction and relationships, discover how art exposes the most social yet private actions.
