OVERVIEW:

The City of Victoria is requesting proposals from qualified multi-disciplinary event & program management organizations/companies to curate, develop and produce a winter temporary public art festival program that will be delivered tentatively between January and March 2024. The City intends to contract a qualified Proponent/Contractor capable of conceiving and developing a theme for this festival and subsequently delivering/executing it artistically through a professional curator (producer) and its resources. The successful Proponent/Contractor and its curator (producer) shall have expertise and capacity to plan, lead, produce, deliver/execute contemporary time-based media installations and public space activations in indoor and outdoor spaces within the boundaries of downtown Victoria (BC).

Prize Summary:

The City will provide up to $150,000.00 including all subcontractors expenses.

BUDGET

The City will provide up to $150,000.00 including all subcontractors for this festival.

The City has allocated up to $35,000 for all curatorial and project management costs.
The City has allocated up to $115,000 towards artist fees, installation, event and content production services to program and animate public space.

The Contractor will be responsible for securing any additional funds required to deliver the festival program plan approved by the City. The City will provide support for grant applications.
