APE CAMP - OPEN CALL for Artists, Producers and Engineers

   Arts Council Korea is a public institution operating under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Since its inception in 1973, its core objective has been to manage the Cultural and Arts Promotion Fund and support a diverse array of cultural and arts projects, thereby fostering the holistic development of culture and arts in South Korea.

Boston Dance Theater Trainee Program Choreographer Call

Boston-based contemporary dance company Boston Dance Theater (BDT) announces an open call for submissions from choreographers. The company will identify 3 choreographers from the pool of applicants for opportunities to create original work with BDT Trainee dancers during BDT’s 2024-25 season. The commissioned works will be performed in a studio setting as part of the Trainee Program Observation Day. The selected choreographers will participate in an intensive-format residency. During the residency, the selected choreographers will each be provided with 5 days with the trainees to create, develop, and set new choreographic material. The chosen choreographers will each receive an honorarium of $1,200. The top finalists will be showcased on BDT’s website and social media.

OPEN CALL| Seats of Understanding: 15th edition of its International Design Contest

The Trieste Contemporanea Committee is pleased to announce the 15th edition of its International Design Contest. Participation is open, without charge, to professionals from Central Eastern Europe. Besides the Award Ceremony for the winning designs, a number of projects selected by the panel of judges will be exhibited at Trieste Contemporanea and an exhibition catalogue will be published online.

The winners will have their Trieste Award Ceremony travel and accommodation expenses covered by the organizing Committee.

  • GALLERY 44 invites artists to delve into the multifaceted nature of play and its significance in our lives. While play is often associated with leisure and frivolity, it also serves as a profound mode of exploration, expression, and engagement with the world around us. Artists are encouraged to reflect on how playfulness intersects with themes such as identity, politics, social justice, technology, environment, and the human condition.

Y Talent Award 2024

The ‘Y Talent Award’ is an international visual arts competition to celebrate the creativity of exceptional young artists between the age of 13 to 18 from all around the world. The Y Talent Award is a collaboration between the Y Art Centre, founded by the internationally acclaimed contemporary artist Yue Minjun, and Ruthin School, one of the oldest schools in the UK. The judging panel will select ten prize winners, including one grand prize. The judging panel consists of five professional visual artists, who are honorary members of the Y Art Centre. The ten winners will be invited to exhibit their work at Ruthin School, UK, from June to July 2024.

Are you a young contemporary art curator? Are you under thirty-five years old and born in Central Eastern Europe? Do you want to be a speaker at the 11th CEI Venice Forum for Contemporary Art Curators, which will take place during the vibrant international pre-opening days of the Venice Biennale?
