Common Threads: Art & Fiber

Fiber Arts have a long tradition not only of utility but of storytelling and personal expression. This exhibit celebrates the hard work and creativity of fiber artists, from quilting and embroidery to textiles, weaving, or mixed media collage. This call is open to all artists, age 18 or older, living within the United States. Artists are invited to enter innovative art created from natural fibers as well as plant and animal fibers. The majority of the art piece must be fiber component or textile technique. We look forward to showcasing a wide range of contemporary and innovative wall hung works where fiber is the primary medium.

New Buddy Bench for the Madrona K-8 Playground

Madrona K-8 is an Edmonds School District choice school.  It is different from the neighborhood schools because of the multiage classroom setup. Multiage learning encourages leadership and team learning.  Madrona Integrated Team (MIT) is our version of PTA.  Everyone is a member: Staff, parents, and students.  We collaborate to support our students to give them the best learning environment possible.

Madrona Mission

  • Awakening Minds

  • Nourishing Hearts

  • Cultivating Community

‘Mapping the Abstract’ will be a group show with artwork by contemporary mid-career women artists living in the great state of New York. We are looking for art that charts the path of creative exploration and abstract discovery. Pinkwater Gallery is a place where abstract art takes center stage, offering a unique perspective of women artists. We are interested in seeing high-quality, professional-level work that represents a breakthrough for you personally as an artist; a pivotal juncture in your practice.
