Aïe Magazine

Aïe is a biannual magazine dedicated to exposing the talents of an emerging generation of artists, photographers, and designers, while at the same time breating new life into existing brands, styles, and creative channels.

Launched in June 2010 at the Louis Vuitton cultural space in Paris, it highlighted itself as a platform to showcase the plethora of talent that still remains under the radar, evolving and forever growing.

Founded by fashion stylist, Alexandra Birchall-White, paleontologist Isabella Kruta and Philosopher Emilie Prattico, Aïe was conceived as the interaction between their disciplines and interests with the aim of showing the world in a new light. All this took shape thanks to the talented designer Micheal Elias, who gave Aïe its logo and who translated the founders' vision on paper, and to art director Elle Azhdari who ensured taht Aïe would deliver with such panache.

The team's shared curiosity for fashion, art, design, research, engineering, philosophy, and scintific anthropology resulted in the shape of a magazine. From X-ray scans to counting the rings marking a tree's life span, Birchall-White, Kruta, Prattico and Azhdari found inspiration, inerested in how these varied aesthetics can become launchpads for creativity.

Anchored with Commissioned shoots by a new generation of photographers. Both established and new Aïe magazine is bulit upon industry support and a handful of close-knit friends.

T: The New York Times Style Magazine is a perfect-bound magazine dedicated to fashion, living, beauty, holiday, travel and design coverage. The magazine was launched in August 2004. It is published 15 times a year and distributed within the Sunday edition of The New York Times newspaper. Since December 2007, an international edition has been distributed with the weekend edition of the International Herald Tribune. Stefano Tonchi was editor until 2010; his replacement was Sally Singer. T is not a supplement of The New York Times Magazine, but a distinct publication with its own staff.

Women's Health reaches a new generation of women who don't like the way most women's magazines make them feel.

Women's Health is for the woman who wants to reach a healthy, attractive weight but doesn't equate that with having thighs the size of toothpicks. They know that exercising and eating well will make you happier and stronger (even if after-work runs can really suck). That looking and feeling good have very little to do with cosmetics and high heels (though they can help you feel glamorous on a Saturday night). And that life can be stressful since there's never enough time, but balance is achievable (with a little help).

Each issue celebrates this designer’s ethos: their people, their passion, their stories, emotions, fascinations, spontaneity and authenticity. As such A MAGAZINE exists as an entirely dynamic title – a cultural statement for individuality in an increasingly homogenous industry.

Centered around A MAGAZINE’s guest curator is a team of editors, with content provided by an international network of contributors and collaborators. Each of these creative relationships with an artist, photographer, musician, graphic designer etc. starts with a conversation. This artistic dialogue leads to beautiful projects, special friendships and a fusion of explosive talent to create work that transcends the ordinary. A MAGAZINE is a unique niche product both on the conceptual and advertorial level. Alongside purely artistic content, we create hybrid promotional opportunities for collaborators, enabling the production of site-specific content that goes beyond common commercial restrictions.

Przyjaciólka, launched in 1948, is the most popular women's weekly on the Polish market. It features fashion stories and provides beauty, health and psychology advice, investigative reports and interviews with stars.

Dazed & Confused is a British style magazine,that was set up in 1992 and published monthly. Its founding editors were Jefferson Hack and Rankin. Topics covered include music, fashion, film, art and literature.

With the demise of both The Face and Sleazenation, it now exists alongside old rival i-D.

Beginning as black & white folded poster published sporadically the magazine soon turned full colour, promoted with London club nights. The combination of Jefferson Hack's eye for emerging scenes and talent, Rankin's growing reputation for celebrity portraiture, inventive graphic design and an inspirational fashion team brought a reputation that belied the magazine's small distribution.

This reputation attracted cover stars such as Richard E. Grant (issue #11), Jarvis Cocker (issue #15) long-time collaborator Björk (#16) and in a coup for the magazine, Radiohead's Thom Yorke interviewing himself in issue #19.

Throughout the 90s the magazine's influence grew as its format evolved and the reputations of those it had championed early in their careers blossomed. Among its many international magazine cover firsts Dazed counts Alicia Keys , Jake Gyllenhaal , Hilary Swank , Eminem and Pharrell, all of whom have gone on to huge international success.

The magazine has also supported social causes and encouraged debate with issues such as its 1998 Fashion-Able issue (#46) and 2004's South Africa issue (#115), the former dealing with perceptions of beauty and disability and the latter with the state of the country ten years after apartheid and the AIDS crisis throughout Africa. In 2006 Dazed & Confused joined forces with MySpace to support RED and World AIDS Day by encouraging the public to submit artwork and pledge their support to join the (RED) initiative.

Looking to move beyond the printed page in 1999 Dazed Film & TV was founded, a production company that would produce the first mast-head television broadcast ever, the one hour special Renegade TV Gets Dazed, for Channel 4. In 2001 the Dazed Group, as it styled itself, launched the luxury bi-annual Another Magazine. In 2005 the Group launched Another Man, a bi-annual fashion title for men.

In November 2006 Dazed launched a new web based strand of the magazine titled DazedDigital.com, which delivers fashion, film, music and art news and special online events.
