i-D is a British magazine dedicated to fashion, music, art and youth culture. i-D was founded by designer and former Vogue art director Terry Jones in 1980. The first issue was published in the form of a hand-stapled fanzine with text produced on a typewriter. Over the years the magazine evolved into a mature glossy but it has kept street style and youth central to every issue.

The magazine is known for its innovative photography and typography, and over the years established a reputation as a training ground for fresh talent. Photographers Chris Dowling, Wolfgang Tillmans, Juergen Teller, Terry Richardson and Ellen von Unwerth, Kayt Jones have produced work for i-D. The magazine celebrated its 250th edition at the end of 2004 and its 25th anniversary in 2005. The July Issue of 2009 was the magazines 300th publication, boasting many interesting articles and iconic photography, true to the magazines concept. The content, focused mainly on ideas from past issues and bringing these ideas into 2009. Raquel Zimmerman was the covergirl for this edition.

The magazine pioneered the hybrid style of documentary/fashion photography called "the straight up". At first, these were of punks and New Wave youth found on English streets and who were simply asked to stand against any nearby blank wall. The resulting pictures - the subjects facing the camera and seen from "top to toe" - are a vivid historical documentary photography archive, and have established the posed "straight up" as a valid style of documentary picture-making.

Tipped on its side, the "i-D" typographic logo reveals a winking smiley. Most issues of i-D magazine have featured a winking cover model.

i-D has also held numerous exhibitions worldwide and published several books.

In 1984, Tony Elliott (Time Out) became its publishing partner with 51% share of the company. Terry remained editor-in-chief and creative director, but he also worked on other commercial projects. In 2004, Terry - together with his wife, Tricia - regained total control of the company.

i-D's silver anniversary in 2005 was celebrated with an exhibition (i-Dentity) and guest-edited issues. Terry invited a number of creative collaborators to work with him on different issues, around the central theme of identity.

J'N'C has been synonymous with consistent fashion reporting of the highest contemporary standards since 1992. The monthly J'N'C News and J'N'C Magazine, which has been published on a quarterly basis since 1999, not only cover all aspects of fashion from a short, concise and economic, as well as an artistically aesthetic perspective, but also provide the market with editorial updates on all relevant topics. Which is why the important dates of international trade fairs and fashion shows are just as much part of their agenda as their untiring trawling of the best ateliers, indie stores, flea markets, design factories, clubs, galleries, bars and record shops – whether in Cologne or Lisbon, in Cape Town, New York or Montreal. After all, they're not only convinced that life writes the best stories. Experience has shown them that fashion only achieves its full potential in conjunction with other culture-relevant disciplines. This is why they also love to talk to those in the know – such as designers and fashionistas, as well as with artists, musicians, photographers, graphic designers and filmmakers.

Vogue Italia is the Italian edition of Vogue magazine. It is the least commercial of all editions of Vogue magazine and has been called the top fashion magazine in the world.

Its imagery is frequently shocking and provocative; according to the art director of British Vogue, its photographs "go beyond straight fashion to be about art and ideas".

Vogue Italia was established in 1964. Vogue Italia and the Italian fashion industry have historically had a symbiotic relationship, with Vogue Italia contributing to Milan's domination of the fashion world.

Recent influential editorials have included Steven Meisel's September 2006 "State of Emergency", a visual play on the War on Terror, and Meisel's July 2007 "Rehab", addressing recent celebrity visits to rehab clinics.

Italian Vogue is published monthly in Italy by Edizioni Conde Nast S.p.A. Franca Sozzani is and has been the editor since 1988. Italian Vogue often features up and coming models on their covers and has a mostly healthy attitude about aging, featuring models and celebrities of all ages. Italian Vogue has a consistency in mood gradation that I've not seen matched anywhere else...going from melancholy periods to joyously youthful features to overtly sexy.
