Y Talent Award 2024

The ‘Y Talent Award’ is an international visual arts competition to celebrate the creativity of exceptional young artists between the age of 13 to 18 from all around the world. The Y Talent Award is a collaboration between the Y Art Centre, founded by the internationally acclaimed contemporary artist Yue Minjun, and Ruthin School, one of the oldest schools in the UK. The judging panel will select ten prize winners, including one grand prize. The judging panel consists of five professional visual artists, who are honorary members of the Y Art Centre. The ten winners will be invited to exhibit their work at Ruthin School, UK, from June to July 2024.

Open Call for Art on the theme of Religious Trauma

A multimedia group show on the theme of spiritual trauma titled "This Is What We Carry", March 23-April 28, 2024. The group show will be held in a community space in Logan Square, Chicago and welcomes artists of all levels.

We are interested in all mediums of art centering on themes of religious trauma and spiritual trauma. We trust each artist to define these terms in ways that are true for them.

There is no submission fee and you are welcome to submit multiple pieces.

We also invite artists to make new pieces for this show if the theme inspires them. You may submit the form to show your interest even if you do not have a completed piece yet.

Trieste Contemporanea is pleased to announce that the call for the Young European Artist Trieste Contemporanea Award (YEATCA) is now open!

Since 1999, the Trieste Contemporanea Committee assigns the Young European Artist Trieste Contemporanea Award to a young Central Eastern European artist with the aim of promoting his or her work on the international art scene. The award gives the winner the opportunity to think and display an exhibition project in Trieste at the Studio Tommaseo and an exhibition catalogue is published.

GALLERY MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

Founded in 1974, Pleiades Gallery is an artist run gallery maintained by its officers and members. The Officers include the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer & Assistant Treasurer are elected annually by the members. The gallery’s policy allows each member artist to assume an equal share of responsibilities in a collegial and professional environment.

Stanley Bleifeld Memorial Grant

The Stanley Bleifeld Memorial Grant is a prize of $5,000 sponsored by the National Sculpture Society. It is awarded annually to a sculptor who has demonstrated outstanding ability as a sculptor and who has created a body of work inspired by nature which includes works of sculpture in the round and in bas-relief. All applicants must be citizens of or residents in the United States with a social security number.
