About Our Guest Curator: Jennifer Rizzo is a Brooklyn based curator, writer and Partner at Hashimoto Contemporary. She produced World Wide Walls Vol. 1: 10 Years of International Street Art, as well as contributed an interview for Scott Albrecht’s monograph IN TIME.

Since 2011, Jennifer has been working in galleries in New York City with a focus on emerging contemporary art.

The exhibition will be held at the Limner Gallery, April 4 - 27th, 2024 and is open to all forms of abstraction, from the geometric to the lyrical, from the precise to the raw. Residency 27, Party as Form, invites a multidisciplinary group of thinkers and makers to explore the craft of social gathering.

 

Party as Form takes the craft of celebration as the starting point for a residency that blends cultural theory with current experiments in curating, social practice and performance. This four-week residency offers up to four Oslo-based and two international artists, art workers and other creative, critical, and cultural practitioners the opportunity to work with Lloyd and Stratton on collective research and cross-disciplinary collaboration. 

 

Gallery Ring ANIMAL Online Art Contest

Gallery Ring announces an online contest and exhibition all about animals from tame to wild and from sweet to ferocious, including birds, fish and all aquatic and amphibian life forms.

The deadline to submit work is Tuesday, December 5th 2023.  The fee is $20 US for 1-3 artworks.

2024 Mulvane Art Fair

The first weekend of June in 2024 is the Mulvane Art Museum's annual art fair. In its 30th year, this juried event will feature more than 85 artists from across the country - along with thousands of art lovers. This fair boasts a vibrant patron program with pledged spending of $25,000 and actual spending of $70,000+. With a focus on quality and variety, this fine art event is a favorite in the community and region. Proceeds from the event support the mission and programs of the Mulvane Art Museum, which is Topeka's only art museum and is on the Washburn University campus.
