Grey surrounds us, sometimes in surprising ways. In beach pebbles, a pair of smiling eyes, a kitten’s fur, and the cold embers of a fireplace. This neutral colour is cool, calming and timeless. But, it can also feel dull, drained, and emotionless. Grey can make other colours stand out. Grey can hide a story. Share your shades of GREY with words or imagery.

| Eligible Submissions:

Entries may include 2- and 3-dimensional media, such as paintings, drawings, photography, mixed media, installations, ceramics, jewelry, fabric, sculpture, photos of performance art, fiction, poetry, short stories and other written explorations (up to 900 words). Submissions must be the original work of the applicant(s). Apply using the online form.

| Highlights:

Publication in a brilliant art magazine and online 2-year exhibition. Four top applicants will receive a feature section with a profile written about them. Up to 40 applicants will be selected for the full exhibition, all to be showcased in the magazine and the juried online exhibition.

The mission of ArtAscent is to promote artists of images and words, and connect them with art lovers. This is accomplished by calls for artists and writers, artist profiling, art magazine publication, and artist and writer online showcasing. Each call is theme based, with the intent to showcase diverse creative explorations of that theme via various media. MODArts Dance Collective (MADC) is elated to announce its fifth annual dance festival, Collective Thread, on March 13-14, 2020 7:30 PM at The Performance Project @ University Settlement, 184 Eldridge Street (at Rivington), NY, NY 10002. Group Exhibition: Dacia Gallery is pleased to invite emerging and established artists to submit artwork for an opportunity to participate in a Group Exhibition this November. This is a very special exhibition for us with a huge public response from collectors to media and curators that we want to share with you. We are looking for a diverse body of artwork in all mediums and styles, this will be a group show comprised of artwork created by contemporary artists, exhibiting what is being created on today. The gallery will advertise and promote the selected artists for the exhibition and host a formal Opening Reception for the exhibition, including an Artist Talk during the opening reception.  

Who Can Participate: All visual artists, national and international artists may apply.   

The Exhibition: Dacia Gallery will advertise and promote the selected artists for our Group Exhibition and host a formal Opening Reception for the exhibit, including an Artist Talk during the opening reception.     

How Are Artists Selected: Dacia Gallery has three jurors that review and select the artists that submitted their work. The jurors VOTE through a process of elimination, whoever receives the most votes simply gets to be in the show.     

Accepted Artwork: Painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, photography, digital art, mixed media, illustration, etc. In other words, all creative culminations are welcome.
