Call for Artists

CONNECTION EXHIBITION

The Creative Recycling Gallery invites artists based in Manchester or in the North West to submit artwork for the CONNECTION Exhibition in May 2020 during the Chortlon Art Festival.

We are looking for art that explores the concept of Connection.
What is connection?

How does your art make you feel connected?

Does your art help you to connect with yourself, with your community?

In a society that pushes us to feel more and more like individuals on their solo mission, disconnected from our neighbours and sometimes suspicious of diversity, we feel the need to talk about connection, the importance of community, of exploring connection to yourself and others

NYC4PA CALL FOR ENTRY - FROM A SEED...2020

Growing up in NYC each of us had the opportunity to experience the wonderful world of botanicals at both the New York and Brooklyn Botanical Gardens.  We had the opportunity to develop an early appreciation for the variety of life that starts with a seed, much of it in spectacular greenery and flowers bursting with color.

Though seeds can be tiny and come in an envelope at the nursery, large and found in the center of a fruit, or black and found in a watermelon; they all hold the promise to become glorious botanicals.

With spring approaching in the northern hemisphere and autumn in the southern, capture your unique view of favorite flowers, trees in bloom, variegated leaf patterns, vines etc. in gardens, at the beach, on your window sill, or in the rain forest.

OPENART Open Call

OPENART is a contemporary public art biennial taking place for three summer months in Örebro, Sweden. The city center is temporarily transformed into a huge outdoor art arena creating unconventional encounters between the art and the audience. Participating artists are working outside the traditional frames with an opportunity to work big, outdoors and temporary. The exhibition invites a broad and curious audience to experience the art without an admission fee and regardless if they are acquainted with art or not. We are searching for visual artists in all disciplines to apply with artworks that can be placed in the public space. We want a diversity of artworks that can challenge or transform the city with different conformations and concepts.
