Dare to Dance in Public Film Festival

Submissions are currently Open for DARE TO DANCE IN PUBLIC FILM FESTIVAL: Round 7 (D2D)

D2D is dedicated to the concept of democratizing dance by taking it into the public sphere, exploring space and place, and intersecting creatively with the art of film.  We are most interested in the creative intersection of dance and the camera, and films that transcend perceived boundaries of  country, culture, ethnicity, race, religion, and gender, and that speak to us wordlessly in the universal language of movement about what it is to be human.

Call to Artists: Collage on Screen Artist Residency

A five-week, virtual/online residency with Kolaj Institute in August 2023

Deadline: Wednesday, 26 July 2023

Collage in Motion is a project of Kolaj Institute that explores collage and the moving image, a broad, loosely defined category that includes animations, film cut-ups, collage film, stop-motion, animated GIFs, documentaries about collage artists, and other forms of media in which collage–as medium or genre–is present. We see our role as not one of defining “collage in motion” but as one of asking what “collage in motion” can be. The project manifests as articles in Kolaj Magazine, an online directory, workshops, residencies, and screenings. Artists with practice of Collage in Motion are encouraged to submit to the online directory.

Expression of Interest for Virtual, Art, Music & Film Festival

Through vibrant music, art, movement and thoughtful discourse, we celebrate our love of the natural world, the creativity and diversity of Earth’s ecosystems, and the ingenuity of artists.

For the next Natural Resonance Festival, we are seeking artists, musicians, filmmakers, and writers that are inspired by the environment around them. We are also broadening our horizons to include classical music performances of composers, documentaries, and spoken poetry!

This year, our theme is RESILIENCE. Within this theme, we will be viewing resilience through the perspective of our personal wellbeing, our ecosystems, and our communities.

Altered Images v.III

Altered Images is a project for film and music experimentation. We bring together artists from various disciplines to create original and unique pieces that will be shown at different events. We are focused in New Media Arts, Sound, Performance, Inclusivity, Feminism and Queer Activism.

Our showcase is opened to artists  whose work has an experimental and innovative character.

The goal of the showcase is to create events of live music, projections, performances and art installations where people can enjoy the show in a relaxed, inclusive and friendly environment.

We are looking for brave and risky filmmakers, who like to explore with the sound and the different hints another artist can give to their images.
