For four weeks in July 2019, the Terra Vivente aritst residency will host artists in the village of Peghera in the heart of the Taleggio Valley. A group of up to four artists will be selected to join Terra Vivente to explore, research and create work. At the end of the residency, an exhibition will be held. The region is famous for Taleggio cheese and in July, the annual cheese festival is held. There are many other small villages nearby to explore, as well as mountain paths and trails. Nearby is the town of San Pellegrino, home of the famous water, and Bergamo is about an hour and a half away. The residency focuses on community engagement, so artists working with social practice or collaboraton are encouraged to apply.
