International Art Competition Artist's Choice

Contemporary Art Room Gallery is proud to announce their 1st "Artist's Choice" Online Art Competition for the month of September 2020. This is the open subject competition. Artists from around the world are welcome to submit their work. All visual art mediums are acceptable (painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, digital, prints, fiber art, collage or installation art) except sound and video art. All winning artists will receive a digital award certificate. First, second and third place will be largely displayed with an article about the artist and their work. Winning artwork (First place) will be on the poster of the show. $15 for 2 images. You can enter more than once. Deadline: September 24, 2020.

Zeitgeist 2020

Zeit·geist/'tsit?gist,'zit?gist/ Noun: The defining spirit or mood of a particular period of history as shown by the ideas and beliefs of the time. "The story captured the zeitgeist of the year 2020." 2020 has been a year of great change and upheaval. We are looking for works that give us a glimpse into the events of 2020, whether they are reactions to events from a global, national, regional, or even individual scale. Please share with us your artistic reflections on this significant year thus far as this show will visually capture the defining spirit and mood of 2020. This will be a juried show that will run from 2 Oct - Dec 18 and will have a best in show prize of $500!

MUSICA59 - Open Call for Audiovisuals (online)

AAAGENCCCYYY, an international art blog, is looking for visual artists that also work with music/sonic arts/video art to create 59 seconds long videos that combine visuals and sound in imaginative ways. The selected works will be featured on our Instagram, Tumblr and YouTube channel as part of our new project called MUSICA59.

How to apply:

Create a 59 seconds long video work with your original sound/music and visuals. Be creative and experimental.

The format should be square, 1080x1080 pixels large. (No other formats will be considered)

“Character Design” Digital Art Contest

Bring  your ideas to life, create interesting character designs and have fun with the new Digital Art Contest by Pixarra!

Pixarra is announcing a call for artists for a new digital art contest under the theme of “Character Design”. Submission is free of charge and is not limited in the number of entries. 2D and 3D artists from around the world are invited to show their art.

All submissions must be digital paintings created with illustration software and the participants must have the full copyrights on them. Traditional art, photographies, photo manipulations, collages and animation are not accepted.

Contemporary Art Room Gallery is proud to announce their 2nd "Skies" Online Art Competition for the month of September 2020. This is an international competition and artists from around the world are welcome to submit their work. All entries must include the sky as the primary focus. The gallery seeks artworks with any perspective of the sky, including clouds, night and day sky, dusk and dawn, storms, stars, moon and planets. All visual art mediums are acceptable (painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, digital, prints, fiber art, collage or installation art) except sound and video art. $15 entry fee. Deadline: September 10, 2020.
