Call for Artists for International Print Magazine in March 2023

We're exciting to share the opportunity to be featured in our second international print issue, publishing date March 2023.
We welcome emerging visual artists from all continents and from all fields, except for fashion, graphic & jewellery design.
All selected artists will get a digital copy of the magazine in PDF format for free, and the print issue will be available for purchase internationally via print on demand. 
In order be continue to be as inclusive as possible, there is no entry fee. 

Video Dance Showcase 2022

31st Quinzena de Dança de Almada - International Dance Festival | September 21 – October 8, 2023

Professional choreographers, dance companies and video directors are invited to submit their work for presentation at the Video Dance Showcase.

April 9, 2023 is the deadline for submitting proposals.

International Platform for Choreographers 2023

31st Quinzena de Dança de Almada - International Dance Festival | September 21 – October 8, 2023

Professional choreographers and/or dance companies are invited to participate in the next International Platform for Choreographers, to be held from 21 to 24 September 2023.

Those interested in presenting choreographic work can submit their projects for selection.

Atelier B12

Atelier B12 is a working space for visual artists. It is located in Lisbon (Benfica). From December 2022 on it will offer 3 workplaces.

With more than 110 sq m divided between a showroom (ground floor) and an open hall in the basement, the studio is also meant to be a place for potential exchanges between artists.

The location in town is strategic. It is 500 meters from Benfica train station, just a 10 minutes ride from downtown (Rossio). The neighborhood has many facilities like art supplies stores, supermarkets and restaurants.

Each private space is about 20 sq m large, the ceiling reaching up to 4 m. In the work hall is an open space with three private work areas and a common hall, in addition to a small area for storing works.

OPEN CALL — Ukrainian Women Artist Residency

[A]Space,  Artists at Risk, and Quinta das Relvas, in partnership, are offering a four-week artistic residency in Portugal to four Ukrainian women artists from 1 to 28 February 2023, followed by an exhibition in Lisbon at [A]Space gallery.

We welcome applications from  Ukrainian female visual artists at any stage of their career, based anywhere in Europe, whose work focuses on socio-political concerns, regardless of media or educational background.

Travel costs to and from Portugal will be covered by the residency up to €600 per artist, based on a receipt. Residency participants will receive a daily allowance for food and will have access to discounted prices in local art shops.

Insights of an Eco Artist is an international art  publication that features selected artists and writers from around the globe with a high focus on contemporary art and those tackling issues of social and ecological justice.

Insights of an Eco Artist Interviews is a way for artists to articulate their vision and promote their work  through a web published art dialogue.

The artists are interviewed by the founder & artist Joana Alarcão to highlight their artistic career and explore how artistic interventions play a crucial role in bringing conversation forward about social political atmospheres and climate issues.
