Artists are invited to submit proposals for artwork to be installed in the display windows on Montclair's main thoroughfare, adjacent to the Studio Montclair Gallery. Windows measure 2.2 ft. deep, 23 ft. long, and approximately 7 ft. tall. Each window has an electrical outlet for motorized installations, LED lighting on a photocell that is automatically lit from dawn to dusk, and an alarm system. All the glass has been treated with a UV coating. We are looking for exciting and thought-provoking site-specific installations that will be easily visible to street traffic.

Br(o)adcast open call for Dreamcatcher

Br(o)adcast is a brand new Bradford based participatory audio platform. Dreamcatcher is an ongoing podcast/ archive collecting dreams from the people across Bradford and Craven, using this time of uncertainty as a chance to connect and record people’s emotional response.

Do you live or work in/around Bradford? Have you been having some extremely odd dreams lately?

Br(o)adcast is looking to compile a community and location specific response to the current climate. 

You dont have to be an artist or writer to submit, Dreamcatcher is about collecting a shared emotional response to a pandemic. The dreams can be wakeful or sleeping, related to Covid-19 or completely unconnected.

International Art Competition Nature

Contemporary Art Room Gallery is proud to announce their 3rd "Nature" Online Art Competition for the month of May 2020. This is an international competition and artists from around the world are welcome to submit their work. The Nature theme may include everything that is nature related, (landscapes, seascapes, skies, world of flora and fauna, etc). A variety of interpretations of nature theme can be submitted (representative, abstract, conceptual). All visual art mediums are acceptable (painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, digital, prints, fiber art, collage or installation art) except sound and video art. All winning artists will receive a digital award certificate. First, second and third place will be largely displayed with an article about the artist and their work.

Abstract Art Contest

Grey Cube Gallery proudly presents the first Abstract online art contest for the month of May 2020. Contest is open to all artists worldwide over 18 years of age. The gallery invites all artists and photographers from around the world to submit their best nonrepresentational artworks in all kinds of concepts and mediums. All visual art mediums (except video and sound) are allowed. The Best of Show winning artwork will be displayed as the poster of the show. All wining artists (Merit Award & Honorable Mention) will receive a digital award certificate. $16 for 2 images of artwork. You may enter more than once. Deadline: May 18, 2020.

“Bird Houses and Nests”

CALL TO ARTISTS

“Bird Houses and Nests” Exhibition September 26th – January 3rd, 2021

SculptureTucson (ST) and Tucson Botanical Gardens (TBG) are hosting a joint exhibition of outdoor sculpture related to “Bird Houses and Nests.”

All work will be on display in outdoor garden spaces, so artists are encouraged to create work that is large-scale in size.  While there is no maximum size restriction, works smaller than 5 feet high will not be considered, unless the piece is mounted on a base, and the entire sculpture plus base is equal to 5 feet.  Sculptures must be secured to the base.

IF YOU HAVE SOME PERFORMANCE BASED ON STREET RECORDED IN VIDEO, MUSICAL CLIP WITH STREET AS THE BACKGROUND, IF YOU MAKE GRAPHIC, GRAFFITI, POSTERBOMBS, DIGITAL AND VIDEO ART, IF YOUR WORK INVOLVES EVERYDAY URBAN SCENES, THE PROJECT NEEDS PEOPLE LIKE YOU, ARTS WITH THE MAXIMUM URBAN APPEAL AS POSSIBLE.

 Conditions: Video projects must have a max. 20 minutes.
 paintings, digital arts, photographs are accepted, but we prioritize video files.
