YICCA 2021 - International Contest of Contemporary Art

The competition’s aim is to promote the enrolled artists, giving them chance to join the international market of contemporary art.

 

DATES AND DEADLINES

January 11, 2021: Beginning of subscriptions

April 16, 2021: Subscriptions deadline

May 10, 2021: Notification of winning artworks

 

Jury’s final decision will lead to a selection of 18 artists that will participate in the final exhibition.

All kinds of art works are accepted, including video, installations and performances.

All works will be presented by a picture or a video that must be followed by a description 

of the work.

All works must be available for the final exhibition and have to be artist’s property.

【Theme: Metaphysical Ging Zik 形上驚蟄】

The A R T • 9 is pleased to announce an open call for art opportunity for the coming online juried art exhibition in mid April, “Metaphysical Ging Zik 形上驚蟄”. The exhibition will focus on the negative side of humanity and morality in our modern life.

“Ging Zik” is a Cantonese term which refers to the insects that are awakened from winter sleep and the soil, and it serves as a symbol of the start of the first season in a year. The curatorial committee favours any works that can explore and respond to the rise of the darkness and toxicity from human nature, modern humanity and morality with a metaphysical approach.

Artistic Celebration of Motherhood

INTERNATIONAL OPEN CALL FOR PORTRAITS

CSOPA and SAA have partnered to create a special tribute to mothers May 1 - May 30. The virtual exhibition, Artistic Celebration of Motherhood (ACM), is a multi-media event featuring original art ranging from classic portraiture to abstract expressionism.

Portrait artists submit through the official prospectus on website.

We are excited to announce a Call for submissions to an Instagram project  ShopStyle.

ShopStyle is a project that aims to promote selected works of fashion craftsmen, stylists & designers by exhibiting them on Instagram.  

We welcome participation from both experienced and amateur craftsmen, stylists & designers who want to share their works and whose interest is in the field of men/women apparel, shoes and accessories.

*IMPORTANT:

-Submitted images must be of high artistic quality

-Image resolution & format should be appropriate for Instagram

-Submitted works MUST NOT contain nudity, violence, inappropriate language or offensive content.

Seeking proposals for art-climate-science collaborations

Broto: Art-Climate-Science is an emerging art-sci collaboration conference and community pointed at successful climate endgames. The transdisciplinary organization is asking for proposals for a single paid collaboration team. Each team must include at least one of each of the following — artist, scientist and observer — who will work together on a new project to test our Collaboration Blueprint.
