Call for Entry - this human world International Human Rights Film Festival

The 13th edition of this human world is taking place in Vienna, from December 3rd to December 13th, 2020.

this human world is Austria‘s first festival devoted to the subject of Human Rights and one of Vienna’s largest film festival.

The films shown at this human world are presented in an International competition programme consisting of four different sections and a number of thematic programmes, curated by the festival team, curators, experts, NGOs and partner festivals.

The Artists Forum Festival of the Moving Image

THE ARTISTS FORUM FESTIVAL OF THE MOVING IMAGE: 2019 (#affestnyc) is now accepting submissions. This international short film festival is a juried competition, open to innovative filmmakers with unique perspectives seeking to gain exposure in New York's formidable arts and media market.  Each year, the festival highlights a category depicting a prominent social, political, or economic issue. This year’s themed category is 'Social Justice.'

Rebuilding Summer Cultural Trade Routes Indigenous Arts (Multidisciplinary)

Overview

This self-directed residency will explore reconciliation through creative process from an Indigenous perspective in a contemporary world.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn from Indigenous artists, Elders, and community members situated along the honoured cultural trade routes that define the ground we stand on in the Bow Valley. Providing accessible opportunities through reconcili-ACTION with our Indigenous neighbours and settler allies, we will create space within this cultural institution and the Bow Valley to forge new and profound connections.

World Illustration Awards 2019 - deadline extended to 17 February!

The Association of Illustrators (AOI), in partnership with USA-based Directory of Illustration (DI), is delighted to announce that due to popular demand the World Illustration Awards 2019 deadline is now extended until 17 February 2019. 

Illustrators, and their commissioners, agents and tutors are invited to submit work made since January 2018 to the eight categories of the Awards: Advertising, Books sponsored by NoBrow, Children’s Books sponsored by Walker Books, Design, Editorial, Experimental, Research and Site Specific, representing the major areas in which illustration is made for today.

2019 FESTIVAL

Our international Call for Entries is now open! We accept entries across short, animation, narrative feature, feature documentary, experimental and hybrid works.

We don't like rules so we don't have many - basically you need to own the rights and the film needs to have been made since Jan 1st 2018. It's as simple as that.

The entry fee is $40aus for all films in any category.

Studio Montclair ViewPoints 2019 Annual

Studio Montclair seeks entries for the 22nd Annual Open Juried Exhibition “ViewPoints 2019” at Studio Montclair Gallery, Studio Montclair’s nonprofit gallery located in the downtown Montclair Arts District from May 2 to June 15, 2019.

 “ViewPoints,” now in its 22nd year, expands the reach of SMI to introduce artists not only from New Jersey but from across the nation and the world to our regional community. Over the last 21 years, we have had many prominent jurors and artists participate in this exhibition.
